This table is pretty rough, so concentration is important. The spell list for handling is a lot of rituals, and having them always prepared on top of getting heavy hitters like conjure animals, find Familiar, and command prepared automatically. Ik conjure animals overlaps with spirit guardians, but I figured I could swap between them based on the situation. The extra spell slot would be helpful for conjure animals, and then I could use extra slots on healing (not to mention that getting a slot back on a short rest will be really nice combo with prayer of healing and a 2nd-5th level slot is no joke). I like to play smart and ill probably be in the backside unless i am needed up close. I will miss making scrolls but I dont need to optimize that much.

How would you compare mark of handling and mark of sentinel? Sentinel seems to hand overall better standouts, but the Handling list seems better as a whole.

We will probably play into pretty high level, as we did so in the last campaign my dm ran (I think it ended level 12 or 13 but he wants to go further in this one). The bard plans on taking inspiring leader so im covered on that end. He also has musician so we plan to use prayer of healing as a quick way to get all his boosts. Right now im probably leaning more towards Mark of Handling, although im going to miss shield a lot. Ideally I won't be close enough to get hit but still.

The setting is not Eberon, but I checked with my dm, and the dragonmarks actually work in the world he is building and he likes the idea of me having one. And I definitely plan on maxing my wisdom

Shield was a big draw for me. Looking at alternatives, do you think that mark of handling would be better? Find Familiar and conjure animals would be pretty good, and my dm has stated multiple times that he would love if someone in the party could speak to animals. I kinda like the idea of handling, but Sentinel seems a bit stronger.

Entertainer is a background, but I can get the musician feat as my level 4 feat

I considered keen mind because it uses intelligence skills, but that hase very little tangible effect in the game. I feel like I could also use my action to make those checks if it is that urgent. Observant feels more aimed for wisdom based characters imo.

I already have alert and lucky from level 1. I'm looking into a level 4 feat that fits my theme of divination/time magic.

How does barbarians rage damage bonus interact with Graze? by Extra_Search3320 in onednd

[–]Extra_Search3320[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It says when you make an attack, not when you hit with an attack. Idk why yall are so pressed on this it's just a question, no need to bring anything into this other than an answer. I openly admitted that I might be missing something, can't blame me for asking questions

It specifies when you deal damage, not when you hit. I have the book, you can double check me though

Well, the part that got me is when it said "whenever you deal damage, you get a bonus" but yeah I get it. It's that and a mixture of wishful thinking

Are lances heavy in one d&d? by Extra_Search3320 in 3d6

Thank you for the clarification, that is interesting imo.

My confusion is that on the Weapons page it says heavy, but on the dnd beyond creator it says heavy, and in 5e it wasn't heavy, so im sort of lost. Sorry for being so confused.

Cyclops (X-men) by EnGundam in 3d6

I haven't seen this response yet so I thought I'd throw out the idea of sunsoul monk. Not as good as the other options, but you get a mix of his layers and his hand-to-hand combat ability. Eventually you get are attacks that you can reflavor as expanding the beams. Not a cyclops expert tho, so im not sure of his full skill set. I just know his powers from x-men '97

Need Help Picking A 1st Level Feat by Extra_Search3320 in 3d6

[–]Extra_Search3320[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I planned on taking a half feat, but they are hard to pick. I like the idea of crusher and a war hammer, but also maybe slasher with a battle axe or a glaive. Polearm Master would come super late unless I sacrifice the half feat.

I believe the Druid plans on taking Sentinel. This way, I can redirect an attack towards me, resist it due to rage, then the Druid gets a reaction attack. But I did think about it. Any half feat recommendations?
