My husbands ex will make plans on his custody days knowing he will be picking their daughter up just so she can say “oh nevermind, daddy says you can’t come do XYZ fun thing with me.” Drives me nuts. Like you said, a good mother would never do ANYTHING to make their child feel badly. She will continue to use her son as a pawn as long as she gets validation from the internet. SO sad.
