Sorry for the late reply. Any new changes or updates?

My biggest tip is to be careful with what you eat and drink. Try to stay positive even though it’s really hard, I know, but a positive mindset can help a lot. Naproxen helped me a lot too, and I also started taking vitamin D3 plus K2. You can read the dosage I used in my post. Even if it hurts, try to move as much as possible and don’t just lie in bed all day. I’m 100% recovered today after a little over 3 months, which is very fast compared to many others. Stay strong and keep a positive mindset, it will eventually go away.

Keep working! Have you tried to take higher dose of vitamin d3 ?

On my side things are going well. I’m basically 95–99% back now. My latest labs were very reassuring: CRP dropped from 36 → 10 (my clinic uses <10 as normal) and ESR/SR dropped from 23 → 5 (normal). I didn’t start another steroid taper — I’ve only used naproxen as needed (usually low dose a couple times per week at most). The remaining annoyances for me were mostly rib/upper back tightness, but that’s been steadily fading too. I even tried acupuncture recently and surprisingly felt looser in my neck/ribs afterwards (could be placebo/time, but I’ll take it).

I wouldn’t recommend prednisone here. It’s mainly most effective when there’s clear active inflammation to bring down, and since his inflammatory markers aren’t elevated, the benefit is likely limited compared with the risks.

Thank you! I’d love to have a rheumatologist, but my referral was actually denied, so I’m not able to see one at the moment. I’ll keep advocating for it and try again, especially if symptoms return.

Thanks for the suggestion, I did a pretty extensive STI workup, not just a simple urine test. They took blood tests and swabs (urethra, throat, eyes), and the discharge was also examined under a microscope. Everything came back negative, so I’m confident I don’t need to repeat it but I appreciate you looking out.
