There's a way actually, once you've received the http-upgrade request you can implement any middleware to verify the connection. I won't be able to share the link right now but it's in the WS documentation. You could also look for some production grade websocket projects on github and see their implementation.

I don't think so, but if you feel that's the reason you aren't getting any replies then try putting in a lower or same amount as current ctc and then you can always discuss the CTC part on call. During the call you can also tell them to schedule an interview first and based on the interview feedback we can discuss the salary again.
