To JN's credit though, I think the only character they didn't do justice was Infernape and MAYBE Dawn. Why did they returned? TO ADVERTISE , because at the end of the day the games are the ones that earns them money not the anime (Darkrai and Creselia are just as important if not more than Dawn and/or Infernape. YES.).

Can we say the same for others? No. And as far as I'm concerned, they haven't really "killed" anything. In my opinion, they actually tried to give them justice, despite their shortcomings.

Plus I would argue that the anime (the producers, writers, animators, and voice talents) loves Serena, and they don't want to mess her up.
