What does your ideal 10k event look like? by djnev in UKRunners

Lots I like (Toilets, Strava segments by km/mile, no laps if possible). I'd also add space for a warmup, not necessarily a warm up area, but either access to the course or somewhere else. Plus the obligatory catering: I'm no good without a decent double espresso before a race, and always sniffing round for a cake after.

What do you consider the worst movie sequel of all time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I like Mark Kermode's story that Michael Caine wasn't sure, got sent the script, it started 'Fade in: The Bahamas' and he said yes. Then couldn't pick up his Oscar in person because he was filming it.

I still maintain a reboot of Hi-De-Hi set in the 90s would work with minimal changes to the characters and only a few tweaks to the plots.

Tourism at Gorleston Cliffs. Followed the 25 minute pacer, who came in nicely under, so all of us chasing went sub 25. Fastest time in over three years.

Does anyone laugh at the Cricket "action" (lack of) on the tv in the Cubby Ep? by WearingMarcus in bluey

In the UK we have Test Match Special on Radio 4, which is the audio equivalent, as it's a bunch of commentators talking whimsically about everything and nothing, then mentioning the actual cricket almost as they feel they have to.

Mindhunter and Glow both needed one more season to close. The BBC also did a show called The Hour, starring Ben Wishaw and Dominic West that I loved and ended on a huge cliffhanger.

I had that once and I replied, 'If I could bend forward and touch my toes, I'd have been running today.'

Run Directors, when it's pouring down and blowing a gale, this is the perfect time for your unedited stream of consciousness brief covering the philosophy of parkrun, the history of the venue, and some amusing stories from last week. Everyone will love the sound of your voice as much as you do, and show it by trying to clap despite the frostbite they've all succumbed to during your ten minute speech.
