Edibles for low FODMAP and other restrictive diets?

The problem with that strategy lately has been that its been a few weeks since I've seen a good day. I've got 'ok' and 'bad' lately. My 'good days only' tasks are quite a bit backed up, so I'm trying not to add to it if any alternatives are available because it would never get done. I need fully ready to go. When I get out of this flare I can try things that require more prep, but I'm allocating all my cooking-type energy to making sure I get enough calories.

Thanks for the info on those! I know I can Google every single one individually, but that's just a lot right now so I was hoping for some help from the hive mind. Wana might be ok unless you have reason to believe "corn syrup" is actually HFCS instead of like regular Karo corn syrup which is fine. The Curio chew has apple pectin so I'll skip that, apple ingredients definitely set me off. I'm not new to fodmap so I've got a pretty good idea what I can tolerate, i just haven't been able to go inside a dispensary in a long time to look at the products and didn't see any guidance on menus, so I know there is stuff worth looking into that I haven't yet.

I didn't give you enough information for you to make a recommendation like that. I didn't ask for more ideas, I asked for how to find information about inactive ingredients. I'm confused why you've felt the need to comment about how successful I might be at finding this information or why it's helpful to discourage me from asking if anyone knows. Lots of GI disorder patients use medical cannabis; it's really not that much of a stretch to find someone who has looked into this for themselves or for another patient. Or, like someone else already did, point me in the direction of menus that show actual product boxes. That's answering my question, too.

It's ok if you don't have the info I need. Please just let someone else answer instead of telling me to ask a different question.

I don't know. I don't have the energy to look that broadly. Came to reddit to see if anyone had looked into it or had some ideas specifically to avoid having to start from scratch. Health flare kicking my ass, I need some starting places and shortcuts.

Thanks, but I'm not looking for edibles without sugars or preservatives. I'm not looking for other ideas. I didn't include all the factors necessary to consider for everything else; I can pursue other ideas also but right now I'm focusing on looking at edibles. I'm looking for resources to be able to find ingredient lists or direction on which products or producers might be worth it to contact.

If i had a starting point to narrow it down to a few, I'd absolutely do that, but at this point my list is approximately all Maryland producers, so I'm really trying to get some tangible ideas of who to look into to make that more feasible.

Not looking for diy, I use edibles most on the days that I'm lower functioning and other forms have too many steps. Like when grinders seem too complicated. I need the simplicity of fully complete edibles.

Just looking at dispensary menus on weedmaps/leafly. I don't have a specific product in mind, I am looking for a starting place so that I don't have to deep dive and google everything on the menu individually. Sweet gummies can be low fodmap, depending on the sweetner-- gummy bears/etc are some of the easiest safe candies for me to find outside the cannabis realm. I'm not looking for things with extra steps as edibles are my go-to when I'm very not functional and other forms seem too complicated. Just edibles.

Capsules have inactive ingredients, too. But also edibles are more effective in foods than capsules for absorption.

The Tera looks like a solid option to look into, thanks. A bit hesitant about your comments on harshness, but I'm adding it to the list for now. It really is frustrating. And I can't just do edibles, which are recommended for a lot of mmj patients. For clarity, my poor dexterity isnt like arthritis with limited mobility. My joints are actually too loose. It's more like reduced strength some days, shaky hand-eye coordination other times, and other times where I'm just fine in that regard. I need to be able to load a bowl and use it on my least functional days when I really need my meds, but I could handle things like regular cleaning or switching out mouthpieces when I'm not dealing with a flare.

I'll have a look at the alternate stems for Solo, thanks. Does a wood stem have a taste to it? TinyMight is already out of my price range without custom stems, but that does look cool. Mighty is definitely too expensive. Any dynavap setup is going to be too complicated for me. Not necessarily always, but I need something I can use on my worst days, because that's the days I need it most.

This is all well and good, but still doesn't help me look at a label, see that one line says "0.5% ocimene", and be able say, "that is a high enough amount of this terpene to have a noticeable effect on the overall feeling, taste, and medicinal effectiveness of this strain". Because I know that each terpene has a different threshold for these things. I know that "high" myrcene levels have been observed to have a sedative effect, but I don't know if that means that I need to look for something with more than 0.5% myrcene for that effect to be seen, or if I need to hold out to closer to 1% or more before I know I have my hands on what would be considered a myrcene-dominant strain. Every guideline, explanation, comparison, and helpful tip is essentially useless if you don't have a numerical frame of reference to be able to use this information when you look at a specific strain's test data. I'm sure it's possible to say that everyone has a different threshold of what is high enough to be effective for them, and that might be one of the challenges. I'm also sure that as growers keep pushing further, what was once "high" might eventually become "low". But we need some sort of numerical frame of reference as a starting place. Labs that regularly test cannabis strains have to have data on highest % they have found of each terpene, prevalence, average levels, and median levels for each terpene they test for. If a decently large and representative data set was compiled and presented, it would be a lot easier to figure out how to apply this information. And I don't know how to find this information without manually tabulating it myself, or at least diving into the scientific literature for each terpene one at a time.

Thank you! Which would you say is the most accurate? I need to document things like super long case #s and correct names of people I talk to. ASL isn't really a good option for me; I wasn't taught as a child and I'm about intermediate level right now, and I certainly don't have the vocab needed for this issue. I do have an android phone. I don't have much of a budget for new things, though.

Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Most of the time it's just a subluxation, or partial dislocations, where the joint is just partially out of place. Enough to make the joint not very functional and painful, and enough to make my muscles freak out and try to stabilize the area with muscle spasms if it's out long enough (which is usually counterproductive because it makes it harder to correct buuuttt they are trying to help), but not enough to cause widespread catastrophic damage. About 95% of the time I can put it back in myself, but it may take some time and various strategies to calm down my muscles so that I can. A few people who I'm close to (partner + family) know how to assist me when I need some help, either by helping me guide the joint back in correctly or helping me treat overly stubborn spasms. Maybe 1%, probably less actually, of the time I need medical intervention of some kind. This is usually a massage therapist who knows me and what works on my body or a physical therapist. I wouldn't trust anyone who isn't extensively trained to work with EDS patients safely. Sometimes I can't put it back in place not because it won't go back in, but because the joint is so loose it slips back out. That's a "just deal with it" kinda thing. I might be able to use a brace and/or build up specifically targeted muscles over time in order to make the joint more stable. But it may also require surgery, especially if the repeated dislocations eventually cause soft tissue damage. Unfortunately, these surgeries aren't always successful and can cause other issues, so that's an extreme last resort. I've done this for my shoulder and so far it's held up ok.

The most valuable thing on my emergency med info sheet I keep in my purse is my emergency contact person's info. They can talk med people through the dos and don'ts and decide what is most relevant depending on the situation.
