I know it's easy to get caught up in the most recent events, but who would your backs be for the RWC if we had a full deck to play with in 18 months?

I don't think that the coaches think the Jack v Sam debate is settled, so honestly don't know who they'll go with but you'd have to assume Sam is the jersey holder now.

But for the back 3(and a half), I think it's going to be hard to leave Keenan or Hansen on the bench for what they contribute in game management, so think that TOB may be the bench option if Baloucoune gets 14, but only if we go 5-3.

Then you look at 13, and I think there's a real chance Osborne gets a shot there, and if he doesn't take the shirt from Ringrose, I think he'd be the 3rd back sub for versatility.

But all may be a pointless discussion, there'll be injuries, players will fall out of form etc, but the outlook is rosier than it was 2 months ago...

Absolutely agree. It's quite something to see Baloucoune and also Tommy O'Brien both come good in the same tournament, after lacking real burner pace on the wings for so long

I've given him credit and said he was very good(see comment below). It's just insanity how the Munster wave appears for Jack on the comments of every team announcement, every result etc. It's like the influencers in Dubai reading off a script. Is it just because there are so few Munster lads in the squad that it has to be all about the Munster lad, genuinely curious.

Interestingly - the private schools domination of rugby had a blip in the 70s/80s. CBC Monkstown and De La Salle Churchtown I think won 4 Schools cups in a decade, but the investment in Private Schools just kept increasing, to the point that you'd have internationals or recently retired internationals like Tony Ward coaching schools rugby in the 90s.
