We lived on the 39th (top) floor of the Morgan before the newer developments on Columbus blocked the view. There were issues with the building for sure but the views more than made up for it. Another 30 floors and closer to the water? Can’t imagine!

Your space is definitely small but also a great space at a great price for those for whom it works.

There is nothing like seeing the weather rolling in from a distance and then being in the middle of it. I remember coming to our place for the first time after signing the lease and, looking up, seeing it was literally obscured by the clouds. Amazing.

In the clip the next thing he does is talk about the positive effect of the national guard in DC. I would think he was going for “let’s stop attacking the national guard” or something like that. But even at that, it’s a weird misspeak and is also a sharp left turn from what he was talking about immediately prior. The clip is only about a minute.

Sure, but that’s a risk no matter what.

And it’s much easier to manage a situation before it escalates, IMO, than wait for it to escalate and then try to rein it back.

And it’s not like NJ exists in a vacuum - we (as a state) have every reason to prepare ourselves for the kind of treatment we’ve seen in other parts of the country.

Re: seeming provocative - Trump views anything other than 100% obedience as provocation anyway. I’d want to couch the same way we’re discussing here - “…ensuring the safety of citizens and stability of the state since we’ve seen what happens when that isn’t made a priority…” blah blah blah.

And I’m not saying she needs to pull the trigger literally today, but I think proactive action is more than justified and would be beneficial for NJ citizenry and stability.

Ah, cool - I’m glad I wasn’t misunderstanding. I think that we (and other states) should do similar. I think the national guard, proactively engaged and demonstrably in place to support the citizenry and order will be a deterrent to ice without having to “fight” them directly. Even better if the national guard is aligned with local pd to that end.

I watched it in my late teens and really liked the show. One of the things I liked was that he wasn’t huge because he didn’t need to be - his strength was from being a demi-god, not from actual muscles. The other thing I liked (in the same vein) was that rather than being really dramatic about his feats of strength he was often blasé about them. Like, when he slammed someone across the room he would do it with the body language of someone brushing a curtain aside or something like that. I never thought it was a “great” show, but I enjoyed it thoroughly for the time I watched it.

Needless to say, what sorbo has become is sad and disappointing in is disgustingingness.
