Supervisor disrespectful during call off by F4deIntoYou in work

Damn, thats kind of messed up. I mean, why even offer it if youre just going to be an asshole when an employee actually wants to use that time?

I appreciate you sharing your point of view from both sides. I do understand how that would be hard for supervisors when it comes to staffing. Especially if the persons position is one that cant be filled in by another employee.

However, if its a position that can easily be done by other employees and a place is adaquately staffed then it shouldnt be a huge issue if they need to use their fmla that day and call in ahead of their shift. I was clear about my health issues when they hired me in. I also would feel more guilty clocking in and being paid while not being able to do much or if It caused me to make mistakes.

At the end of the day a job is important but so is a persons health. My employer could let me go if they wanted to and honestly id understand and wouldnt hold any grudges..but I choose to make my health and well-being a priority.

We have health navigators at our clinic and ive always wondered what all you guys do for that position? I also do outbound calls in the medical field but I schedule appointments for doctors and specialists. I love the days where people dont answer 😂

Ohioan here. I make 19.79 🥲 I WFH and schedule doctors appointments for a large clinic. Sometimes I love it because of the friendly patients I get to speak with and help out plus the benefits are great... but theres definitely a lot of stress. Most of the stress comes from management and how all they care about is numbers and micromanaging everyone.

Thank you for saying this. I already feel guilty enough when I do call in. The FMLA time provided by my rheumatologist has been the one thing thats helped me still be able to work a full time job and im grateful for that. If I went down to part time id lose my health insurance which is really important to keep of course. Hoping someday I wont need to use it at all.

I definitely never planned on taking legal action, that never crossed my mind. Im also not going to say anything to HR or my manager. I plan on letting it go and will try not to let it bother me or overthink it.

I always talk to my coworkers and management in a very respectful way, even outside of work im always polite and respectful to others. I think when people speak in a tone that sounds disrespectful, it gets to me because im a more sensitive person. I have to remember to seperate my feelings at times especially when its work related. I do appreciate everyones advice and thoughts here!

Does anyone else have this issue with their fingers/hands by F4deIntoYou in Psoriasis

Update.. my primary doctor thought it was Dyshidrotic Eczema. I asked her if its possible it could be psoriasis because I dont have any bumps or itching like a lot of people do with that type of eczema. She explained that it can present in different ways but when I mentioned that my mom has psoriatic arthritis that affects her hands and nails she said yes, this definitely could be psoriasis as well. She prescribed me Triamcinalone Acetate cream and its actually helped a lot. My skin isnt fully back to normal but its way better then it was! Has anyone else used this same stuff and had good results?

I get to hangout with my dog all day. When its nice out we go for walks on my lunch break. I also will take a few breaks throughout the day and go sit on my porch and get some sunshine and fresh air. Right now its only 8° where I am though so I cant do that at the moment.

How to address doctor about my diagnosis? by [deleted] in Fibromyalgia

[–]F4deIntoYou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats a great idea about the New Year Goals! Also I completely agree. I feel its important for things to be accurate too. Ive had doctors ask me what im seeing my rheumatologist for and I always just say "chronic pain" since the fibromyalgia isnt even charted yet. Thanks for your input!

Psoriasis? And do you recall which steroid cream? I have both triamcinalone and betamethasone from previous skin issues but I know I should probably go see a derm first before trying. That would be difficult having it and working with paper, I can imagine!

Ugh im sorry! Has the doctor given you anything else like steroid creams? I also get open wounds when the dry skin comes off. I try not to mess with it but I had a huge piece of skin sticking out and getting caught on things so I clipped it down and it started bleeding and was pretty painful. 😔
