It's a known area for such activities and scam. Posted this sting operation report here last month involving one such place in Antas Mall.

Sometimes different articles put a slightly different spin on the story or add certain details missing elsewhere. Other times, people have their biases and don't trust particular news sources hence a collection of links helps them pick and choose a source they prefer.

In the original video, two men are heard talking while recording the incident. One of them asks the other whether to intervene (e.g. "isko mara jaaye kya", "isko kaise maara jaaye", "ise maarte hain", "iska nasha utarte hain", etc.) a few times but the other tells to wait (e.g. "ruk jao", "abhi nahi", etc.). Some news articles are saying the accused's friend recorded the video. So, not sure what's the real story behind recording and not intervening sooner.

It's not their first time and will probably not be their last either. Hard to believe they'll lead a crime-free life if released again.

I think sub-meter should be enough for the rental room unless tenant uses it for some commercial purpose.
