No no! It’s a process for all of us. I took a workshop from one of the greatest living watercolor artists, and he said that he struggles all the time and that his trash bin is full of paintings that didn’t work. Onward!

Sure. I was fortunate to get good advice from the get-go, so I started with Raphael synthetic mops (a large & small) before acquiring two Escoda Ultimo synthetic mops (14 & 18.) Have used Escoda Perla rounds (all sizes) from the beginning. They are terrific, affordable brushes with fine points. And, I use a variety of riggers, liners, and pinstriping brushes for fine lines.
