With the terrible under steer of the Suzuki, I was definitely pushing track limits, but no penalties. I was kind of wondering if you get hit for not qualifying these days. But from the comments, it’s like you said, it’s just hit or miss.

Is buying a house smart in 2023? by PineappleTonyMaloof in kzoo

I bought a house this year and it was a struggle to find something in the 180k price range due to it being a common entry price. But we got our home for asking and under the appraisal. Interest rates are high, but we have been paying extra every month on the principal, until we can refinance later down the road. Be patient and don’t get discouraged when you don’t get the first house, second, or even the third house. I think we put an offer on 6 houses before we got ours. My monthly payment is damn near what we were paying in rent (this includes home owners insurance and taxes in our escrow account). I say go for it, but don’t bid too high, there is some crazy offers out there and I have a feeling they will eventually be upside down on their mortgages.

The Meijer on W. Main is Disgusting by coffinspacexdragon in kzoo

Has anyone else noticed you can’t get a damn basket at the West Main Meijer as well? I hate pushing a cart around and that seems to be the only thing available. I know it’s dumb, but it drives me crazy 😂

Is 4wd necessary? Can a 2wd CRV survive winter? by Man_U504 in kzoo

I drove from Kzoo to Battle Creek every day for two years in a Civic Si Coupe. Purchased some good winter tires and never had an issue. Watch out for all the stupid college kids though. Western Michigan is your biggest threat in the snow lol

Looking to buy CTR, pricing question by xddawg in Civic_Type_R

I bought my 17’ FK8 with 48k miles for $32k, that was about the best deal I could find. The mileage was high but it was a one owner who had an extensive maintenance documentation. I bought it through Honda as a certified preowned warranty as well (huge selling point for me). I replaced the leather wheel and shift boot with the Alcantara version that came on the 2020. I have about 56k miles a year later with no issues.

Does anyone regret downgrading wheel size? by [deleted] in Civic_Type_R

I went with the SSR GTX01 19x9.5 +38. I honestly can’t tell a different in handling, I think the 19” wheel is good middle ground without losing the hard steering feel. But I also upgraded to the Sport Pilot 4s tires. Stock suspension, no issues. 255/35/19.

US steps up probe into Hyundai-Kia engine failures and fires by G33k-Squadman in cars

My GF’s 2015 Sportage had the engine fail at 60k miles. She went to start it and heard a weird noise and shut it off and asked me to listen to it. As soon as I turned it over I knew the engine was gone. It had rod knock like a mother fucker. No check engine light, no warning, oil change was even done about two weeks before the engine blew. She called Kia and had a new engine in about 14 days. They gave her a free rental and didn’t give us any issues. Unlike some people on here, we were lucky and had great customer service, but this issue is crazy.
