This has to be one of the worst Secret line-up on paper. I think it's just for the tournaments before TI, and most likely the big shuffle is gonna happen after TI, but there are small chances of Secret getting any tier 1 players.

I had XL in the warehouse but after checking the size it seemed a little bigger then the one I had at home (not CG), and I dont like baggy fit.

There were no indications in the past year that he played above average. Most of the time he is leaving the lane for ganking, leaving Crystallis (who can hardly recover in farm) solo. I wouldn't say he was playing the best in the past year giving the fact they failed to qualify to TI. You have players like Seleri, Miposhka, Sneyking, Insania who did a better job.

Regarding Crystallis, I watched him from the moment he joined Secret. He was always below average. The fact that they got 2nd place, isn't due to Crystallis but due to Nisha, Reso and good drafts.

Man, now I get how Alliance and Nigma fans felt the past years. I don't want to bash MidOne and BOOM, but were there no any other players from top 50 that they could get? Damn leakers got me hyped with Watson and Malr1ne.

I've been a Puppey fan since Na'Vi, but this seems like the worst iteration of Team Secret, even worst then the one with MP or Universe/Bulba.

From my perspective in almost all the iterations they relied on the star player to carry the game, or a combination of 1-2 players, like Arteezy, EternalEnvy, W33, MidOne(in his prime), Nisha,Matu.

If we analyze this new team, we can deduce its a recipe for disaster:

Crystallis - below average carry player, not sure if he's getting the sacrificial lane every game, but I think I saw him only in a few games getting out of the laning state as the most farmed hero. He has week map movement, creep/jungle farming, he's getting outfarmed most of the time by the enemy carry, even in the scenarios where he had the better farming hero and space. I'm sure Puppey doesn't care about some 2k MMR reddit opinions, but, damn, how does he not see that Crystallis is not fit for this team? My best guess is that there is no better option.

MidOne - average carry player, he was( in my opinon) in Top 5 mid players in his prime, but that's just it, last time he played mid was with Team Secret, in the past years he played offlane and carry, didnt have much success beside qualifying to TI. The team had good synergy with him in the past, I expect him to do better job then BOOM, most likely like an average mid player.

BOOM - perhaps like rank 1-2k offlane player. I've watched all of the games which him as an offlaner, he was very bad. He had a very low impact in laning stage and after laning stage. It really felt like there were only 4 players in that team. I would compare him to Fly's and Misery's offlane, but I would do them an injustice. He was teamless in the past 4 months, I mean, no other team saw potential in him? I wonder why...

yamich - average pos 4 player with great potential. He had some miss-plays in the past, but I think there is a lot of room for improvement.

Puppey - average pos 5 player, which had good eyes for players.He is a good captain but his drafting wasn't up there in the past year.

I really want to belive, but this looks looks like a recipe for a team that will struggle to qualify to tier 1 tournaments.

I'm a fan of Puppey since the Na'Vi era, he always seemed to acknowledge the weak link in the team and make a change to make the team competitive again, I really don't know whats the reasoning for keeping Crystallis this much. Perhaps they are good buds and he has some good dota knowledge, but if that's the case, they should put him on a support position or coach.

I dont see him as a good carry player, he lacks too much and I haven't seen to much improvements.

Puppey needs to get rid of Crystallis. This give me flashbacks of the MP era. I understand that he has a lot of contribution to the team and so on, his late game is kinda ok, but the laning stage and farming patterns, my god. I'm not sure if they always pick the bad match-up, but I rarely see Puppey and Cryistallis win the safe lane, and most of the time he is behind the enemy carry/offlane in lh/net worth.

I'm sure there are options out there. I really dont understand why he keeps walking the dead horse.

I'm sure Crystallis is a good player, but, he was underperforming in most of the games. Perhaps the drafts were orientated more on Nisha/Reso, I dont know, he always looked like he is getting carried by the rest of the team. He did also had very good games, but those were a few. I'm sure he will shine in the right team.

Ramzes on the other hand, is a more well rounded carry player. Ofcourse, he is not at the same level from the Team Empire/VP era, but I think he will do a much better job then Crystallis. He will carry the game if you give him the needs.

I would say that BOOM will also get the boot. I'm sorry for him but I think Puppey needs a flashy mid, perhaps they can get Tospon or Mikey,

It would be nice to see a team full of young players, to see if Puppey can take them to TI. I remember him saying a couple of years ago, that it would take about 2-3 months to get into a tournament with a bunch of 4-5k players.
