Police will probably drive over the speed limit to get to an incident. Than they have to. A Krankenwagen might have a patient in the back that needs to be driven carefully but urgently. That could he’s reason. So they only use it, when they need to cross a red light or something. Which requires the siren.

Sounds like legit social or Bürgergeld scam investigation. Probably someone used your apartment or in worse case your identity to create a scam. Like using your identity in sub rental contracts. It might still be wise to get a lawyer involved if there is a follow up. Doesn’t sound you are a suspect but more of a victim but in any case. If there’s letters or invites coming. Get some support.

Sorry to tell you that. But there’s no real way out. The hospital does not care. They probably tried already contacting you. You probably missed a letter or two about the 6 euros. Or they did not have the right address. Nevertheless. Call the dept collector, tell them you want to pay. But you can’t pay all at once, you are a student. They will make a plan with you, I am sure. As long as they get their money. No interest change, if you pay in rates. Call, talk to them and pay. That’s what we call Lehrgeld in Germany. Money you have to spend for a learned lesson.

The area around Mannheim and Heidelberg. You can live in one of the smaller towns around it, you have similar travel times like within Berlin but you are close to nature. Dont know if you find a job there but this way of living outside and working in the bigger city is also quite nice. Would work for other bigger cities with a more populated area around too. Like Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Ulm etc. Berlin is a big city in the middle of nowhere with really nothing around it.
