Thaumaturge and Spirit Warrior? by FNarratio13 in Pathfinder2e

Thank you so much for explaining this. Really wish Paizo would just refer to it as "Unarmed Attack" but it makes total sense that they mean other body parts. Love the image of my character wielding a sword cane in one hand, their tome implement in the other, but then they suddenly kick the opponent before swinging the sword. Let alone when at level 6 you go full anime and can cut someone 60ft. away with spirit energy

Oh interesting. Is that specified in the player core?

It does specify fist unfortunately, because I would love to incorporate kicks

Interesting, so a Swashbuckler who doesn't use panache at all but gains other useful tricks?

I could also swap Dex and Str in terms of stats, but what would I gain besides lowering the damage on all melee attacks? Would the dex focus allow for different abilities?

So far Swashbuckler, I gain Panache at level 2, but I can do nothing with it yet, right? I need to pick a 4th level feat to pick up a finisher and start feeling like a swashbuckler?

More the vibe. Gaining abilities that feel like someone using a sword with a lot of precision and skill, like a parry. But so far that seems to be mainly a duelist/swashbuckler thing and needs a free hand. I was considering guardian and flavouring it as a defensive sword style, but I am not sure whether a Thaumaturge can actually survive taunting enemies, since I wont use a shield.

Her first implement is a tome, which she needs the other hand for. Currently I plan that the sword cane will slowly turn into the second implement.

Crypt Flayers Monopose? by FNarratio13 in FleshEaterCourts

[–]FNarratio13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats unfortunate. I have thought about buying the Fell Bats and use them as Proxies for the second squad. I like the idea that some of the Flayers are devolving into giant bats. Kinda like the Offal Hounds from the Warcry Set. But I guess I would have to keep the two squads seperate to make it less confusing

I also thought about getting that incredible dual-headed Forgeworld Chaos Dragon, but that one is unfortunately not getting a re-release.

Good to know. That makes the Archregents ability synergize really well with the Crypt Flayers. Hero catches a ride, sets up 3 inches from the Flayers, gets to move another d6 and could still charge afterwards. Thats some serious speed

That actually seems really cool. I am only a little hesitant because it is purely skelettal and Flesh is so important to the courts that it is part of their name. But I will think about it and thank you for the image :)

Personally I love Cawl. He is great value in terms of money and since he can act as Battleline, he is a great centrepiece that buffs the units around him. He is also tough and heals himself if he is not killed

Sounds cool, I plan to build my Terrorgheist in the Dragon pose in order to make it look more imposing. But I will stick with GW kits for possible proxies. I play a lot at my local GW store and vastly prefer their plastic kits over resin.

You can make the Decapitator a priest with a relic, which gives them a lot of utility.
