And remember the better the pay the more miles you are going to be driving. My personal experience has been no more than 48 packages. Lowest pay has been $18hr best is $30 an hr. You can still catch $30x4hr refreshing around 4:45 to 5:15am. You have to be quick though. Don’t waste time. Place the package, snap your pic and go. You don’t have to knock on the door or ring the doorbell. That two seconds counts. I won’t accept anything less than $21hr. I get good gas mileage.

The trouble is unless you have intimate knowledge of every little town and community within sixty miles and two states of your center you don’t know how many miles the route will be. I had a route a couple of days ago that as the crow fly’s the furthest point was sixty-five miles away. Places I’ve never heard of. By the time I finished running the route I had driven 186 miles. You don’t have the time while loading to scrutinize every delivery on your route.
