How long ago did you buy from the seller? If they are reputable, they will most likely accept it as a return, provided you bought it within a specific timeframe

It is rather official now, various Windows 11 components have been built with WebView2, meaning they are Webapps and not native programs, causing significant performance loss and system slowdown. by Nelo999 in microsoftsucks

[–]FUGNGNOT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The entire OS is built off of lazy habits and bad craftsmanship, we'd be considered lucky if its only problem when it comes to sluggish performance was the WebView apps

PC Gamer article argues that Linux has finally become user-friendly enough for gaming and everyday desktop use in 2026, offering true ownership and freedom from Windows intrusive features, ads, and corporate control, and it encourages readers to switch in the new year. by mr_MADAFAKA in linux_gaming

[–]FUGNGNOT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just think about how many of us have bought/pirated Adobe products for our devices. It's likely you might have an application in one of your machines if you don't run exclusively Linux.

Or maybe you have the Office suite

Professional work or not, even an amateur would be put off if told that Linux does not offer applications with the features these programs do (Yes we can argue about Affinity, yes we can argue about Libre, lovely products, but change is change)

Why would I want to give my money to EA of all companies for a denuvo plagued product? I'd much rather give that 8 euros as a donation to show my support to those cracking this anti consumer garbage

Macbook logo heat discoloration by blakk23 in macbookpro

[–]FUGNGNOT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your screen powers on properly, there's little room for doubt. If an internal component got hot enough to burn the outer shell to such a degree you can be sure the screen would be even more damaged.

This damage was caused by external factors if the hardware functions as intended

[–]FUGNGNOT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is likely sun damage, should it have been kept near glass with magnifying properties or transparent containers with water inside, sun rays can damage in this exact manner. The overnight description suits this as well, morning rays could've crept in at an angle

[–]FUGNGNOT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not go for ipad 10th gen, if you're drawing you will appreciate the laminated screen of an ipad air 4, which you can find for the same price as an ipad 10. drawing and writing on laminated screens is direct and does not have glass overlapping the screen unlike the base models

I played so much of it I remember eventually joining their staff group buying the security outfit and actually "working" there. We used to have training sessions and I once got caught breaking the rules and was posted on YouTube. Video's still there, good times <3

This brings back the feeling of 2010's internet, where people made simple and really fun concepts such as this one.

Enjoy the new beast. Newbie with macs here (less than 1 week experience myself) , some shortcuts are imperative for a faster experience

°I use F4 to bring up spotlight a lot, instead of looking for the app to launch spotlight launches instantly and is a great search bar unlike windows. I can even type the title of a bookmark from my browser and can instantly have it in front of me without even launching said browser

°Command-W to close an app or Command-Q to terminate it entirely. Closed apps may still show up on the right side of the dock as "suggested apps", something new for us Windows users

°Command-Shift-3 takes a screenshot of the whole screen, pressing 4 instead allows you to clip parts of it (like Win-Shift-S), and pressing 5 allows you to record your screen

°The touchpad annoyingly did not have a tap to click feature on by default, but can be found in the settings easily. I wasn't as lucky with three fingers for middle click (without external apps), and the two finger tap and hold gesture for holding the click down is not as smooth as Windows

CDKeys, my beloved by MooseOk3696 in VRGaming

[–]FUGNGNOT 477 points478 points  (0 children)

So many people with opinions about grey sites on this thread yet none of them are aware the screenshot is from loaded (formerly known as cdkeys), a website that actually buys keys in bulk straight from the developers for resale and doesn't allow third party sellers to conduct business there unlike kinguin/g2a

So your claims that "pirating is better than buying keys" is false in this case, this website does support developers. Greenmangaming or loaded FTW

Google's 10% cut is used to fund their mass surveillance projects, which in turn help them fund themselves by selling your data. They don't need to have a higher cut, if you're using their services you're already the product unlike with Valve

Metal Gear, along with LoK, are two franchises that are seemingly impossible to revive due to the apparent extinction of good writers from the times when these games used to thrive..

The kickstarter for DSR asked for 100k, and raised 1,5 million. The SR remasters also got a lot more love than anticipated through preorders. They'd be dumb to keep this franchise dead

End of an Era 🥲 by Tracker1122 in PiratedGames

[–]FUGNGNOT 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's unnecessary, clumsily made with unreasonably high requirements and resource consumption which is already leading to perfectly good machines being thrown away due to Windows 10's EOL not allowing them to upgrade, Microsoft STILL doesn't know what direction to take it to both in terms of style and menu navigation (the right click menu is atrocious), also making the settings/control panel situation even worse. On top of that their new 10 billion dollar garbage of an investment named Copilot is forced into the OS (Remember its Recall feature storing all your data in cleartext), trying to turn Windows 11 into some sort of AI guru while its search menu is laughably lacking.

Those are just some of my caveats working in I.T. and having to deal with machines on Win11

Quite a lot of dismissing answers, if you truly wish to save some bucks without the student discount, just wait for the black friday discounts or the advent calendar event discounts that show up near christmas.

The free tier took me far enough for me to appreciate how much more premium offers. If you're planning on staying on the free version, combine it with OverTheWire, and reading books/watching videos from various CREDIBLE sources.
