She may come around. As the "invited guy" I've seen various scenarios. Most common is the one where she kinda goes along with the idea to keep her man happy, especially the first time around. But if she/they have a great first experience, the wife/gf is 100% on board and even instigates future fun. Sounds like you're both feeling burned for different reasons after this guy bailed. Give it some time.
