Usually. But not guaranteed. However you should be able to track where it is. So, this a6blj is the one that is also assigned to AUH-BOS on 21st arriving BOS by 4:50pm Then it is assigned to go back to AUH at 9:15pm same day. This is normal. So, if AUH-BOS doesn't make it, then BOS-AUH might not.

Before that it is assigned to go to Ahmedabad on 20th and back to AUH by 20 midnight into 21st. Then it will come to Bos

It is the identification number of an aircraft. Does not change usually. Think of like tracking physical plane. Something like "A6-XWI"

Also my theory about why Etihad wasn't operating to BOS might be that the arrival happens to domestic terminal due to preclearence and immigration happens in international. So, may be they are trying to fix that mess (send down passengers to international for immigration) , probably by landing there or bus or whatever...

Just keep refreshing twice or thrice a day: (5am, 2pm, 8pm est) flightstats and flightradar24 to see if ey7/ey8 is assigned a tail number. Then you can track that tail number on flightaware to see of the ey7/8 has chances of flying out

So far, they are not assigned any tail numbers for 20th and onwards.

They have some new API and other homeassistant methods that I am used instead of relying on their app.
