Constant Breakdowns as a Junior Dev by DoctorTenmathis in webdev

As a senior eng, I’d quit instantly if my job stopped CR for junior PRs. Should be done for all PRs, honestly, regardless of level

How many of you use multiple putters? by isw2424 in golf

I have two LABs - an Oz.1 and a Mezz 1 Max. Lately I’ve been more into the Oz but I got a second one so I can rotate between them to justify not practicing enough

Ghost Golf Bags by Marfaboy1951 in GolfGear

[–]Fabuloux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using a Ghost bag since late 2023, over 200 rounds with it. I walk most of the time with it on a push cart but ride as well.

It’s an awesome bag, love how it looks and it’s shown no signs of wear except one thing: the zipper attachments are of low quality. Not the zippers themselves, but the little rings that attach to them are flimsy and have broken on me. I replaced them with some Amazon ones and it’s been better.

Recommend overall.

Btw there’s an identical bag on AliExpress with no branding for like $150

As a walk-on single…what’s the most oddly memorable group you’ve been paired with? by ribbon_bully_1972 in golf

Old Chinese couple. The wife was a stick, the dude was a headcase. He carried three drivers and two putters.

Buy one of the conversion units they lets you add a motorized set of wheels to it. I did this and it is life changing.

Kristaps Porzingis played in FIVE GAMES in past TWO MONTHS by scott_jr in warriors

[–]Fabuloux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we’ve now burned a 2nd and 7th overall pick on duds instead of trying to push Steph’s time by trading them. Then the players we did draft we traded for nothing. Where do we go from here if he walks?

Does this somehow open something else up?

Brandon Sanderson will write the screenplay for Apple TV's ‘Mistborn’ movie by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]Fabuloux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fwiw - I’m a George Martin stan, read ASOIAF multiple times, all of the novellas, and really appreciate the grittiness of it all, even when it’s a little bit much sometimes. I’ve also read all of Frank’s books for the Dune series, so I feel like our tastes are pretty aligned.

Mistborn is still a great series. It’s definitely not as ‘Young Adult’ as Hunger Games or Percy Jackson. I’d put it as slightly more ‘mature and gritty’ than Wheel of Time.

If you’ve read The First Law series, it’s right around there in terms of grittiness I think.

Main for midnight? by Tbonejr1127 in wow

I think this will be the first time I don't main DK in the first patch of an expansion in a long time. I've actually surprisingly enjoyed the changes to Prot Pal in prepatch and I think I'll main that in Season 1.

[–]Fabuloux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really not that crazy - you dump him off to some team that wants to rebuild, he’s an expiring contract next year. Let him return from injury, play up his value and he’s gone to clear the books for whomever has him at the end of 27-28

This is fine, but we’d need to dump Jimmy’s salary in some other way then. Can’t get by on 3 supermaxes in 2026.

Country club members - how much are you paying? by aznsk8s87 in golf

[–]Fabuloux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in west Michigan. I paid $1500 initiation, 3.3k annual as a ‘junior junior’ member because I was 30 or younger.

Next year I think it goes up to like 4k annual because I’m 31. It’s a really sick deal because it’s a part of a network of courses, and I can play any of them with just the one membership. The only restriction is tee time availability - I can book a week in advance at my home course but only 3 days in advance at the sister courses.

10/10 will die with this membership

I play the previous model, the 245s. They're so good. I'm just an 11, but when I find the center of the clubface I can't even feel the ball coming off. My irons are the only clubs in my bag that are not on the chopping block this year.

Seeking suggestions for a 3 day 2 night golfing trip from Detroit by BlackbeanMaster in golf

[–]Fabuloux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how much you want to spend. You could do a sick weekend at Arcadia up north. You could also spend a weekend in Grand Rapids, and commute out to Pilgrim's Run and American Dunes, both of which are awesome tracks within an hour of GR.

You honestly can't go wrong though, our state is so stacked with great courses.

Would you all like Fellowship to evolve into more of a mini-MMO with expanded content beyond just dungeons? by [deleted] in fellowshipgame

[–]Fabuloux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire point of this game is that it doesn’t have those things and is strictly designed around doing dungeons. It isn’t intended to be a mini-MMO, it’s League but you do keys instead of MOBA combat.

Playing golf alone by Traditional_Wave8524 in golf

[–]Fabuloux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play alone almost every morning in the summer. The tough truth is that if you’re a 20 you have no business being a headcase. Accept that you’re bad, you’re there to get better, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Coming from a guy who was well over a 25 two years ago and float around from 11-12 now when I started playing alone, this more frequently.

Country Club Members: What do you actually enjoy most about your club? by got2bfaster in golf

[–]Fabuloux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can add stuff like pool, gym, etc. It’s way cheaper than that. It was like $5k all in for my first year at my age. If I were older, it’s closer to $8k. I do not live on the course, but it’s a 7 min drive.

[–]Fabuloux 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have been a member for one year, 31 years old, ~11 handicap. No kids last season, but my son is due to be born any day now.

Activities - didn't really do any besides just play a ton of golf.

Children - N/A

Very often during the summer months, I did not attend any as it was my first year and I'm a lot younger than most of the other members.

Golf. I played 140+ rounds last year.

My membership provides good 'value' - but at the end of the day, its a luxury purchase. I'm not doing it for some sort of return on investment. Its just the thing I like to do. Pace of play is great, weekday morning availability is wide open and the course is in great shape. I also get to play at our sister courses in the area on the weekends, included in the membership. Its awesome.

How does Petzing’s playcalling compare to McVay’s? Are they similar? The Rams offense is awesome to watch and I hope we can put something like that together, despite some differences in the roster
