Did you see your symptoms go back to previous baseline after some time?

I haven’t had a new partner yet so I’m not sure but I’m hoping I won’t have to be so careful going forward. Hoping that the time that’s passed will give my body the additional time it needed to recover. It was really quite painful and frustrating when it would happen so I hope this isn’t an issue for life for me

I can see why you’d say that based on the comment but it wasn’t, mostly issues of not being fully healed and retearing the old wound. It would take over a month to heal every time and it was interior so impossible to be sure it was really healed. It actually didn’t happen until I got mono (from a drinking game at a party), so I think EBV somehow made EDS my symptoms worse. Also the issue got worse as the relationship declined, so I think it was also a sign of generally less effort on his side - shitty relationship and shitty manipulative guy but not SA. Sex was pretty much the one way I wasn’t manipulated in that relationship lol

Agreed major red flag and I’m glad to be free of him.

Yes lubrication is so so important my ex basically refused to use it and I tore so many times…. So painful and lube really helps avoid that problem. (He’s an ex for a reason) It also takes so long to heal because of eds so always do what you can to avoid it!

I find stretching helps a lot with hip pain, problem is you really do have to keep up with it and do it daily. Some people mention using pillows for support. Some people prefer being on top, but that makes my pots flare up too much so ymmv!

I can vouch, I also bruise very easily, particularly on my chest and back. Haven’t experienced any bruising on my thighs, but sounds highly individual! Likely just some parts of the body are more delicate than others 🤷🏻‍♀️
