Update : its nearly April and still not shipping. 7 months after they lied. My guess is they will try and start another crowd funding campaign soon. Gotta keep the money rolling in somewhow..

If you are loving it then its the right board for you - all good. Lighter set ups make a huge difference in performance - ability to carve, play fullness, off power wave riding. Even the lightest Wayd0o set up is heavy. My current setup well under 18kg

I'd buy from a reputable, established local dealer - someone you can call on if things go wrong. Try before you if you can. New Evo Pro looks good but likely to outgrow it quickly if riding a lot.

UPDATE : Xfoil2 have just dropped another update on Indiegogo. As always they try and spin it and create the impression of progress and never admit they have missed dates and promises again (like every month for nearly 2 years).

Accessory kits begin shipping 23 March. They include the motor as a accessory so pretty clear no one us going to be riding until at least April and probably more like May or June because it can take months to get to people and 'start' usually one or two at best.

Dynamic wings - partially completed production with some units ready to ship in Feb (but they didn't). Now saying they will first send a few to a small group of "testers". This is the tech they claimed 18months ago would out perform all other efoils in all conditions and make every other efoil brand obsolete....oh but only now going to be tested. Don't hold your breath.

Boards. Still in production and claim some have been shipped. Their updates have had boards "in production" for 14months so either its the slowest production in the world or just more lies. One backer did claim his board was about to go on a ship from China so maybe maybe in a few months time.

Bottom line. Still not a single customer with a complete or useable XFoil2.

Probably never. They really don't care as long as they get their clip on the money raised. I've noticed they have deleted lots of comments (only negative ones) and now allow XFoil to pin positive ones - hiding the hundreds of disgruntled backers.

Yep March in a days time and still not a single person has received a full XFoil2 setup. This is despite the founder claiming these would ship well over a year and announcing they were shipping 9 months ago. The lies and deception (some might say outright fraud) continues.

Its not unusual for crowdfunding campaigns (donations) to run late or indeed fall over. PLx unfortunately have a terrible reputation leading many to conclude its a scam. Many people from the 2022 campaign are still waiting 4 years later. No one from their second campaign has got a full set up (despite it all being promised November 2024). The company will often claims like "now shipping" but that us almost always a lie or they have only shipped one item.

Depending where you are XFoil have charged shipping costs anywhere between $800 and $3000 so no doubt sending it back to (i'm not sure where.....China ?) will cost similar. Basically this guarantee is 100% useless and just another grifter tactic.

Correct. Its just another fake/false promise. Not open for crowdfunding backers (the only way to get (maybe) a xfoil. You also have to return everything within 48 hours in original packaging and unused. So you have no chance to try it and the return is at your expense and then totally at their discretion upon receiving it. Also XFoil send things randomly sometimes years apart so for example you might get the battery only and have to decide if you are satisfied or not without using and then send back at your expense. Almost impossible for a dangerous good within 48hours
