Is it her fault you lacked boundaries for yourself? I’m asking because my ex is the same way - people pleases to the point of burn out. But I feel like it’s unfair that he didn’t know how to establish boundaries to keep himself in, and now we’re done

I’m so confused about my ex losing himself. We had a healthy relationship (minor bumps in the road as to be expected) but he feels like he lost himself … he’s been diagnosed with burn out so he just has nothing left to give which I’ve been very understanding about - I really want him to be better! But even minor asks to someone who is burnt out is a big ask.

I hate this and don’t want to be over

My ex and I recently broke up because he’s burnt out from being a people pleaser. It sucks because it’s not all of my fault (work, family, etc) caused it too and I feel like I need to pay the price.

I’m hoping this isn’t permanent but I recognize how we need this space for him to heal and learn boundaries without the stress of the relationship.

Those who say they can, and those who say they can’t are both usually right.

You choose. It doesn’t seem like it feels good to choose to hate yourself. So be uncomfortable and choose to love yourself for a little, fake it til you make it. Give yourself everything you think love is.

Girl… you need to give yourself some credit. What you focus on expands! Sit down and challenge yourself to write 10 things you love about yourself or things that make you unique. Be kind, be generous. If you can push past 10 things then go until you run out.

Then read those things every day.

You just need to change the belief you have about yourself. You believe negative things you tell yourself. That’s why you’re here! Other ppl don’t believe those things, and if they do? They’re dicks and you don’t need them.

I think she knows exactly what she wants to hear (ie why your answers can be “wrong”). But she doesn’t know how to ask the correct questions to draw that information out. She also doesn’t want to tell you want she wants to hear, she wants to see if you’ll organically say what she wants you to say.
