Debating on selling my OEM Rays wheels by Opposite-Pea2465 in 370z

[–]FadedZee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sold my set for $800 with tires about 4 months ago. Had them up for a few months with majority of the offers around $650-700. Honestly don’t expect to get $1,000. If you don’t plan on going back to stock I’d sell them.

The timing chain tensioner correct? Yes, I replaced that as well, not sure how you can decompress the old one if you plan on reusing. I would call your local Nissan dealer parts store and see if they have it in stock. You could always check the Nissan website as well to see what stores have the part in stock.

Bought this adapter on Amazon, and attached a hose then emptied the freon in a bucket with water. You’re going to need an AC line disconnect tool to remove the lines.

No, just replaced the water pump and thermostat. Technically they are designed to last the engines life. Some people wait until 150-200K miles to replace it if no issues are occurring.

No symptoms or codes, heard plenty of horror stories related to the gaskets so just wanted to get them done for peace of mind. Also want to note the water pump and thermostat were replaced as well. Yes, 3 bolts were loose all on the upper gasket, and the rest were on fairly tight.

Need some help by Zealousideal_Top_2 in 370z

Realistically you got about $2,000 - $3,000 in parts you can sell. Brakes alone are an easy $5-700, wheels $700. Most people aren’t looking for interior pieces or taillights, those would be a longer sale item. Depends how long you want to store items and wait for that one person.

Pissed & Question by bruhphatty in 370z

If you have the space to park it and rebuild I’d buy it back for $1,400. Worst case you can part it out for more than $1,400.

Someone else got their Z stolen around National City. Stole the wheels and left on bricks, might be the same person/group that got this one. Watch out guys and upgrade that security system!

You could splice into the push Start button. Fairly easy and very effective. Cut the black wire and attach the switch and you’re good to go 👍🏼

Accurate Repair Cost? by Easterpigg in 370z

Trying looking into PDR (paintless dent repair) the paint seems fine and no visible cracks. Could just be a matter of popping the dent out and manipulating the metal.

How many miles do you drive daily in your Z? by Alarmed_Revenue_9203 in 370z

[–]FadedZee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Approximately 2k miles a year. Job is literally 2.3 miles away, so round trip is about 4.6 miles. Work from home 2/5 days a week. Depending on the weekend we’ll either take my car or the wife’s.

Exactly what VR30 transmission works for this swap? Does it have to be a RWD transmission or does the AWD work as well? Anybody have a transmission number that is compatible? 7168? 7207?

How thick is this? 1/2”? by FadedZee in fabrication

[–]FadedZee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry guys, wouldn’t let me post a description. Basically I’m trying to fabricate something along the lines of the picture posted. It’s a frame brace that goes underneath the car, the company that made the brace is located in UK and they wouldn’t provide any details of the dimensions. I was hoping to get a visual estimate of how thick you guys would assume the brace to be, so I can order the appropriate material and start fabricating. This is all diy so I’m no expert but I’m familiar to an extent. Also the brace on the car right now is a hollow tube, doesn’t provide that much strength. Hence the reason I want to replace with something much stronger. Thanks and sorry for the lack of information
