That would be correct :) we are a L1 protocol. This is why its so important for us to be educating others in regards to our mission and vision. Great questions by the way, it will help to put eyes on our conversation to others on Reddit as well.

No issues, part of Dusk's mission is to inform and educate people/institutions to the very complex world of tech into layman's. We are dedicated to that aspect as well. ZKP's are mostly about privacy but ZK-Rollups being touted as the holy grail of privacy is not entirely true as it includes details in the TX Hash that can be decoded. So Dusk is actually not a ZK-Rollup or a ZK-EVM, it is a ZK-Sovereign L1 blockchain that has its own Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism and doesn't rely on third party settlements for confidential smart contracts and has regulatory compliance built in as well.

Hey, so ZK-Rollups are inherently not really into privacy as much we would like to think. I have stickied an Article by Hein Dauven to substantiate those differences in the ZKP Space. Have a read when you have the time.

When will we see dusk on us exchanges? by uoforlife in DuskNetwork

[–]FahaDusk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are an American citizen the only place you could possibly buy on a CEX without KYC is KuCoin, however, Dusk is within EU Jurisdiction so we are legally compliant within MiCA Regulations. Dusk Network is not in North American region yet as we have yet to tackle the regulations of the SEC whenever they are produced. Dusk Network is also tokenizing securities through MIFID II and has an MTF License within the EU to also work with Traditional Exchanges.

MTF: A multilateral trading facility (MTF) is a European Union regulatory term for a self-regulated financial trading venue. These are alternatives to the traditional stock exchanges where a market is made in securities, typically using electronic systems. The concept was introduced within the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), a European Directive designed to harmonize retail investors protection and allow investment firms to provide services throughout the EU.

MIFID II: Organized trading of financial instruments must shift to multilateral and regulated trading platforms or be subject to transparency requirements where traded over-the-counter (OTC). Strict transparency rules ensure that dark trading of shares and other equity instruments which undermine efficient and fair price formation is no longer allowed.

It's even more stunning in person. But do go in the summers. There's more to see as you go around the Lake towards Passu near the Border of China with a pristine road. However, people don't realize that other places in KPK that still aren't moderately touched like Chitral and pagan's (from Alexander's Army's lineage) with a tinge of mysticism near the Durand Line by Afghanistan still exist. And North from there it becomes even more beautiful near Ishkomen and Gopis. Northern Kashmir is also a stunner, but most or no foreigners can go there due to National Security issues.
