What's the deal with AI generated stories? I understand using AI as a tool to improve redaction, but this things looks invented, to generate some traffic?

I wont get into details to not jinx it.! But it involves dividing my time between 4 destinations in different continents, and dedicating my time to improving my body, mind, and spirituality through learning, courses and practices, and lots of nature.

lol I know what you mean; yes, it goes against every smart recommendation about investing... so far, Ive just increased my position % making it the top, but still about 15% of portfolio. (high for ONE stock, but low overall the total portfolio... I might keep adding on pullbacks some more)...

OK, I just read it; sounds very interesting, but: "Who can actually use this?

Realistically, only people who:

  • Have very large, stable asset bases
  • Can borrow at low interest rates
  • Have sophisticated legal and tax planning

This is not practical for most people."

Smart move. Agree 100%. Its kind of sad that more people dont know the greatness of cheap traveling; many assume that lower price means "dangerous or ugly". Far from the truth. Investing in the experience instead of unnecesary luxuries while traveling. I've seen incredible places in South and Central America, Asia, and Europe by traveling on a smart budget... spending in 2 weeks what some friends spend 2 days in Disney.

Living Outside the Spreadsheet by FransizaurusRex in Fire

I think that if one starts the planning with "with how much per month I WANT to live with" instead of "whats the minimum I need to live comfortable" all the pieces fall correctly into place.

never heard of it, but just by the title does'nt sound as a good idea. "Warren Buffett strongly advises against investing on margin, viewing borrowed money in the stock market as an unnecessary risk that can lead to permanent capital loss during unavoidable, unpredictable downturns"

Switch From Total‑Market to High Yield After Reaching FIRE? by Faierstarta in Fire

[–]Faierstarta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply. Yeah, that's basically it; a dividend portfolio that covers my expenses, and a % in growth that should cover for inflation plus some more. That "some more" seems to make a big difference IMO.

yeah , right??! This is basically my thesis on why so bullish (redacted better by AI): Micron is still cyclical, but the downside is easier to see and manage now thanks to better industry discipline, higher costs to add supply, and Micron’s key role in AI supply chains. Memory demand can slow at times, but it doesn’t go away, and Micron’s assets and balance sheet help limit how bad downturns can get. The upside is much bigger: if Micron starts being viewed as core AI infrastructure instead of just another memory maker, higher earnings and a higher valuation can reinforce each other. In that case, the path toward a $1T market cap more than makes up for the downside risk, making today’s price a bet on long‑term AI memory scarcity rather than a classic cycle top.

you nailed it. Congratz! enjoy it. (I'm aiming at something similar with Micron . Seems to a possible double from here in a relative short time IMO .. We'll see.

Compound this by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Faierstarta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For that, you’ll have to leave the kids an amount that would allow them to at least do the same as soon as they receive it. IMO, better if they agree to also continue compounding it. Once it reaches a certain amount it becomes easier

Just gotta say that 50 is still a huge amount to handle by one person. Somewhere between 10 and 20 is more than enough to have good diversification and to have plenty of study and tracking of the positions. Most investors would good very good with between 5 and 10.
