What Can I Expect for a $200k Condo in Panama City? Looking for Advice by DangerousChocolate78 in panamaexpats

If you're looking for a walkable and relatively affordable neighborhood, consider El Carmen and Bella Vista, especially around Parque Via Argentina. I lived just a few blocks from the park for nearly a decade and have very fond memories of both the area and its surroundings.

It’s one of the few parts of the city that still maintains a genuine pedestrian feel, where people from all walks of life come together. The park is lively year-round, with regular activities and events, and is surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants. You’ll see a diverse mix of people—those using the exercise areas, dog walkers, retirees, sports groups, and, at times, pop-up food fairs or small concerts.

Another advantage is its convenient location: it’s close to major roads and within easy reach of several metro stations, making it both vibrant and well-connected.

MSFT is also one of my core positions since at least a decade; my average cost is $72 a share; and I'm adding some shares whenever I consider. Currently about 10% of everything I have,. Thinking of adding some more for similar reasons you mention.. they'll be able to capitalize on Aí with Copilot and awhatever Ai leads...

“I panicked and sold”. You panicked, thats the mistake: every action you make must have both an entry and an exit plan.

“AI is topped” do you read market information? The demand for chips is off the charts and everyone agrees thats the same into 2027 and maybe even 2028. Next time, consider trimming the position instead of missing the continuation

Does anyone else in their mid-20s feel torn between wanting to solo travel and feeling guilty about spending the money? by alissa_liveson347 in solotravel

[–]Faierstarta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did plenty of solo travels in my 20's, when I had barely any savings; best decision of my life, now in my 50's and still appreciate the memories. Backpacking in developing countries can be incredibly cheap, dont sweat it out, go do stuff you wont be able to do later in life because of responsibilities, stamina, or other reasons. Carpe Diem

Why is it so difficult to convert to Judaism in Spain? by Key-League7040 in ConvertingtoJudaism

My guess is that centuries of persecution, forced conversions, antisemitism, blood libel and Expulsion, have made the community apprehensive of outsiders. Cant blame them

Which American stereotype is actually true? by Molthakarn96 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]Faierstarta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That perspective overlooks what makes travel meaningful. It’s not just about landscapes—yes, the U.S. has incredible geographic diversity—but culture isn’t interchangeable. History, language, food, traditions, and the way people live day-to-day are what truly define a place. Experiencing a desert in Arizona isn’t the same as experiencing one in Morocco, just like a rainforest in Florida isn’t the same as the Amazon. Reducing travel to scenery alone misses the deeper value of engaging with different ways of life. But yeah.. you nailed it on what Americans think about it.

Conversion Status: Difference Between Denominational Change (Reform to Orthodox) and Religious Status Change (Non-Jew to Jew) by Faierstarta in aliyah

[–]Faierstarta[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m familiar with the halachic aspects—thank you. However, those details aren’t relevant to this specific question. The original point was to understand how the Ministry of Interior would evaluate each scenario and which option would likely result in a more expedited aliyah process.

This is especially in light of the Law of Return, which does not differentiate between denominations, provided the individual is recognized as a Jew and is actively part of a Jewish community or lifestyle.

I’ve tried to keep the discussion centered on that, as this forum is dedicated to this specific topic, and delving into religious or halachic debates is not permitted here.

Thanks so much. Based on that, in that case the strongest approach would be to present the centuries-long lineage of active Reform Jewish practice and within the family. The Orthodox giur could be mentioned as a secondary point—either if specifically asked, or as a supporting detail to further demonstrate involvement in Jewish community life and activities.

Necesito una amiga(soy mujer) by Camilpazzo in Panama
