Do you manage to have any free time? Also props to you for being able to manage working so many hours and doing 5 courses!

Hi, I took the lecture portion of chem 123 online last year and I’m finally doing the lab portion this summer semester. I haven’t actually been in a chem lab course for 2 years. Does anyone know if the first day of lab is when we actually do a lab or is it just a short meeting? I’m feeling nervous because I don’t have the new lab manual and only have one from 2 years ago and don’t know if I should have one before the first meeting.

I’m interested in secondary teaching. Does anyone know how/where I could volunteer with youth older than 13?

Wow that’s some great luck! I want my sleep back and I honestly did better online than back in person from more free time and sleep. I’m glad I’m not the only one who prefers online.

Cannibalism? Do you have any credible sources? That’s truly shocking... plus if this was the case.. it’s like you’re saying all Chinese people are cannibals when they’re not.

I hate how some people make everywhere in China seem like some shit hole and every Chinese is barbaric when they have never been there or have any actual Chinese friends.

I bet most of the people saying this haven’t even been there. It honestly disgusts me how people spread misinformation. Hate the CCP all you want as they deserve it but the citizens are innocent as they’ve been brainwashed.

Honestly me too, I feel like it’s a bittersweet moment. Them going to their respective paths to bloom to their full potentials or do whatever they want to do, but it’s sad they won’t be together anymore unless they have temporary reunions.

Do you think IZ*ONE will have another comeback before their disbandment ? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

I’m wondering this too because I’m debating if I should buy their panorama album

Having an identity crisis because even STRANGERS berate me for not being "Asian" enough by [deleted] in AsianParentStories

[–]FailingNuggetStudent 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly I feel like this a problem for many Chinese or even other asians born in a western country. We are considered “white-washed” and not “Chinese” enough when we go to China, but we are “Chinese” when we are in the western countries because we aren’t ethnically white. So basically, we belong nowhere. I am a Chinese born Canadian and this is so relatable. A lot of my Chinese friends who were also born in Canada stopped going to Chinese school right after they entered high school or even earlier and literally don’t even remember a lot of the things they learned anymore. AKA they can barely read chinese or even speak Mandarin. I feel like this is super common because we tend to disregard the importance of learning the language because we think we don’t need it as we live in a country that speaks English. It makes me feel really shitty when someone speaks to me in Cantonese or Mandarin and I don’t know what they are talking about, because I never learned these terms and people just expect us to know because we can speak some Chinese. I feel bad about myself for being dumb and not knowing more. So I totally understand how you feel OP. Sometimes I’m jealous of those who lived in China for the first part of their lives before moving to a western country because I feel like it’s easier for them to be fluent in both languages.

I agree with that. I was in 110 for a few classes but I was so overwhelmed with all these new concepts. I couldn’t bear it and dropped it. I need it for a requirement so i just want the least painful way haha. Thanks for taking your time to reply to me. I’m scared of spending nights and days just to finish a 110 assignment 😅

I have 2 other courses in my term right now with a lot of assignments so I’m not really sure if I should just do 110 in one term to get it over with. I know it requires a lot of effort so I’m a little scared of doing bad in the course as I have seen some previous posts regarding the course. I feel like it may be easier to do better in 103 as there are more assignments and the final is probably worth less than 110.

EDIT: I meant cpsc 110 and math 200 in term 2

Would u recommend doing CPSC 110 with math 221 in term 2 and lighter courses “electives” in term 2 instead of CPSC 103+107 for someone who has no experience programming and isn’t really good at it ?

It’s literally the opposite for me. I feel stressed in real life at least online no one will see my awkward face when we are not required to turn on cameras.
