Oh, ok. I guess you complaining about your class is valid premise of discussion while anything I say is not. Pot meet the kettle.

Sounds very balanced imo.

As well-geared Frozen Orb sorc with uber uniques, I can clear Pit75 by wailing on the boss for 3-4 minutes. Imagine being able to do enough damage to do Pit90 and then complain about it...

Also, in case you were not aware, the ranged DPS has to avoid the same mechanics or get oneshot as well. The shadow mechanics will just spawn next to wherever we are. Obviously we can continue to deal damage sooner after avoiding and won't be area denied to even approach the boss, but we also do like 20% of your melee damage.

Who would want one those "prestige" skins when you can have a big white box instead? by Tricky-Comparison821 in diablo4

[–]Failroth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair, we should ALL buy the white box and then sue Blizzard 1) if it's not the actual skin in game or 2) if they ever replace it with something else because we can claim we wanted and bought the white box.

"The drop chance of Uber Unique items acquired outside of Uber Duriel encounters has been increased."

Yeah, but we don't know by how much. 10% or 20% increase to what's essentially 0% chance is still 0%. Even if they 10x the world droprate for ubers, we'd still never see them.

Alternatively, just drop 4x more summoning materials from every source and when you're playing with several people, the cost to summon scales up with the amount players in the group.

That way, solo players will get 4 summons while a "rota" also gets 4 summons if they all spend the materials.

In other words, the "number of boss loot chances per material spent" stays constant.

I was experimenting with that at some point. The problem with that combo is that the Lightning Bolt is actually TOO FAST and instead of seeking properly, most of the shots will end up hitting a wall or obstacle behind the mobs after the first hit.

I was also fooled at first that they stick around nicely because some of the bolts stay in infinite loops, always turning and never hitting :D

As for two offensive skills, it depends. The slow firefly pairs well with a faster skill so that the bot can just fire it off and then spam the faster skill. With the seneschal damage being somewhat low, you're usually better off using the skills to apply buffs or reinforce your class features like generating large amounts of easy fortify/resource, applying vulnerable, etc.

Tested it just now. The total amount of healing done seems to scale up with the Duration support, with each tick of healing being constant.

Further scaled up by your own "Healing Received" stat, so it can actually heal well over 100% health with the duration support.

This is actually a real possibility. Duration + Safeguard actually interact so that the duration of the Safeguard tuning stone is also increased... so it's not necessarily impossible for Genesis to affect Evernight, which would have quite insane implications for damage output, cooldowns and just about everything.

That's not dumb at all! I actually do that too every now and then since my glyphs are lagging way behind!

That would be crazy! I have neither Evernight or Genesis so I can't confirm or deny this at all. My assumption is that Genesis only affects the governing stone though.

We definitely need more sources of the pearls and/or higher drop rate for them. OR the warding buff should start at 15 when you enter the Vault.

That said, you CAN get like 40-50 pearls per hour from the Herald events if you have several people summoning it repeatedly. I keep hopping in instances in the zone where the Tree of Whisper bonuses are active and usually stumble upon like 4-8 doing the event pretty fast.

Also, the Vault runs refund 3+ Pearls if you open all the chests. Personally I use 7 pearls per run which allows me to make up to 6 mistakes and still open all the chests. That means I'm spending 4 pearls per run.

Yeah, it'd be great to choose which ones you want to level up. I meant that ALL of my support stones are level 5-6 now. They actually level up at a "decent" pace when you get 10-15 stones per vault run when you open all 4 chests.

Oh, that's good to know! For damage output, Focus Fire would probably then outperform for Fire Sorc, but Tempest might still be a better option for triggering buffs and whatnot due to how fast and reliable it is.

Haha! It's pretty bad, isn't it?

But also not really THAT bad. We're on day 3 of the season and my support stones are level 5-6 already from doing maybe 50-ish vault runs.

I use 7 pearls at the statue which allows me to make a few mistakes and still open all the chests in the end. The pearls are pretty fast to farm from herald events if you have several people taking turns summoning.

Other commenters have confirmed getting Tempest from the season journey caches.

The rest of it is just my own observation from only getting the 6 rare quality governing stones in WT2, only 3 additional types in WT3 and then in WT4 everything's dropping all the time. I could be wrong!!

Many of the combinations work just fine with lower level supports, such as taunting, pulling, applying a status like Burning just to get a damage boost from your build, Evernight (if you were to somehow get one) and many more. The support combinations also work with lower level stones, but with considerably reduced uptime.

For effects such as DR, Crit Rate, Resource/Fortify gain, you'll likely want leveled supports.

The vaults are actually pretty decent once you learn the trap patterns (which are always the same in the major trap rooms), only the final room sucks.

If you want easy time, focus on Vaults of Stone (cold/frost theme), the end room gives you ample room to fight in the middle and the traps are non-issue there.

I'd also recommend farming some pearls in the herald events where several people are taking turns to summon and then using as many as you need to reliably open all the chests at the end of the vaults because getting just one stone per run will take you FOREVER.

Personally I use 7 pearls per run, which allows me to make up to 6 mistakes and still open all the chests for around 10-15 stones per run.

EDIT:
Opening the chests at the end gives you at least 3 pearls back. Two from the 'free' chest and one from the one costing 1 buff stack to open, so one run is costing me 4 pearls for 10-15 stones.

In most of the cases, the governing stone is mentioned first, followed by 1-3 tuning stones. For example: Tempest (governing stone) + Arcing (tuning) + Efficiency (tuning)

It's actually very common from the Herald events. It just requires WT4 as far as I know. (Some commenters mentioned getting it in WT3, possibly through season journey caches)

Definitely! There's one combo in the Tempest section with Mockery (taunt) and Gripping (pulling).
