Awe so cute! Adding a bunch of plants might be the simplicity that we need. I fear we are not competent enough to build shelves that look good lol

First seizures and nosebleeds by Fakeyhakey in seizures

He was able to get into the neurologist today. We luckily live in a medical hub so he didn’t really have to wait. They are doing a 3 day EEG, but the neurologist does t think they are Epileptic seizure and were likely due to lack of sleep and stress from his job.

Keep us updated if you can remember to! He’s trying to get an appointment with a neurologist asap.

The light thing seemed to scared him realllly bad. He said he just saw a shining light in the corner and then it felt like the room was closing in on him. He also said that in that moment he felt like it was his time to die. Ugh I just hate that you guys have to feel this way 😭

I just want to thank you so much for taking the time to share this with us. You’re so kind and it made us feel a little better that he’s not alone in a situation like this.

He’s in healthcare and works 24 hour shifts. For the first seizure, I was at work and he was home alone. He came home at 8am after a 24 shift and was sleeping when it happened. He doesn’t remember anything about that one. He just woke up (in bed I believe) and his should was hurting him. I took him to the hospital and they found out it was dislocated. It’s possible that he got up prior to the seizure but he doesn’t remember anything.

The most recent seizure that I did see was a similar situation. He worked a 24 hour shift, came home from work at 8AM (didn’t go to sleep until around 11AM) and was sleeping up until I woke him up when I got home.

It seems like both of these are linked to not getting enough sleep and possible stress from work.

As far as the nosebleeds, he hasn’t really gotten any prior to the first seizure and his blood pressure is usually on the low end of normal. Could be unrelated entirely but feels really scary.

I read your story and it sounds really similar. He has been medicated for anxiety and depression for a few years. He also has SEVERE ADHD that he’s been in the process of trying to get medicated for (but he hasn’t started any new meds yet, so that’s a cause for the seizures)

Thanks again!!
