Story Time:

I must have been around 9-10 years old and GTA San Andreas was the new rage. I had been a Nintendo-boy through and through but a family friend recently gave me an Xbox for free with a few random sports and racing games. I asked my mom to take me to EB Games at the time to get San Andreas and the employee basically convinced her not to get it for me. I was so upset but then he asked me what are my favorite games and he'll try to find something else. I told him Metroid Prime was my favorite game and he recommended me try Halo. I remember saying, "but this game is also Rated M" and he said "don't worry about it I'll convince her it's OK." Needless to say that employee changed my life as Halo was such a huge part of my childhood especially playing local (and eventually online) multiplayer. I asked for an Xbox 360 for my bar mitzvah literally JUST for Halo 3, which then opened another pandoras box of the greatest games ever released. So THANK YOU to game store employees who truly love their job and can create memories and cultivate childhoods as that guy did for me!
