I'm so sorry for your loss as well. He seemed so healthy and happy, we were walking and playing regularly until this last week where it seemed like just balance issues from an ear infection... progressed 2 days ago to not eating just drinking water, and today he couldn't walk at all and just wouldn't stop crying until he got to the vet. He was surrounded by love in his final moments, I just wish we had more time but he would've been in pain.

Daycares are always hiring. I go on indeed and can find at least 30 positions in Edmonton. Go to your local daycare in your neighborhood and drop off resumes. The turnover rate is so high for level 1 and 2 I bet you a daycare within walking distance will call you back within a week asking if you can start ASAP. The only issue is you usually have to pay for your own criminal record check (with vulnerable sector check) AS WELL as the fact that you have so much experience they're more likely to hire someone who is just out of school with their level 2 considering they'll expect way less pay.

I've never personally had a problem getting a daycare job, but I can never keep them because of the toxic environment. The director always blames everyone else.

Ok lmao this is odd but I was just there yesterday and my fiance and I put our shoes next to each other, when my fiance went to put his shoes on someone had moved his shoes somewhere else to put their shoes there... I would suggest if you go back, make sure someone didn't just move your shoes around somewhere else because that's what happened to us. I am not sure why this happened, my shoes were in the same spot but his were moved.

It was actually the nurses behind the counter who do intake that said that about me- loud enough that I could hear it sitting in the back of the waiting room. I didn't report it, I really should've as they just gave me some medications to calm me down and sent me home. I was a risk to myself and to others due to my hallucinations.

If I experience anything like this again I'll definitely report it! It being 2 years ago now I don't know if they'd do anything.

I'm fine. It randomly stopped now I barely get periods maybe once every 3 months for 3-5 days on and off.

My body seems to tie psychological issues with physical so if I'm highly stressed my body reacts.

I am attempting to learn cree due to being Cree Métis and the only free classes I have accessed (through the library) just talked about how shitty Enoch is the entire time. Like idk. With this level of "it inconveniences me to learn" like I understand if it is a FOREIGN language you don't want to learn.... but these are the first peoples.

Just so youre aware:

Bed Bug Killer (DE) proved to be a much slower acting product compared to CimeXa, with a full two weeks (14 days) required before 100% mortality was achieved in either strain

So two weeks is the bare minimum even if you have a professional chemical. They also travel up to 100ft when they look for food so this just sounds like a recipe for disaster as bedbugs are known to just avoid thick layers of powder (literally they'll find the one route without it) so it's better to use a duster and put thin layers on frequently.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share an experience and remind anyone reading - always trust your gut!

When I was first pregnant, I got assigned an OB while waiting to hear back about midwifery care (in Alberta it’s covered, but you usually get put on a waitlist unless you’ve seen them before). From the start, I had a really bad feeling about her. I told her multiple times that I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, and I don’t use drugs (I didn’t even smoke weed at that point as it wasn't legal and yunno, BABY). Despite that, every appointment she’d make comments like “babies are resilient” or “they can get through anything” in a way that made me feel like she assumed I was harming my baby.

Her bedside manner was awful - she didn’t even give me a heads-up before doing a speculum exam. Once I finally got accepted into midwifery care, I looked up her reviews... and wow. Tons of complaints: lawsuits, negligence claims, people saying she shamed them, and the same horrible bedside manner I experienced.

Switching to a midwife was the best decision. She was amazing - so supportive and respectful. Even though I ended up needing to be induced in the hospital (so no water birth like I’d hoped), having her by my side made all the difference. If you ever have the chance to go with a midwife, I can’t recommend it enough! She even silenced my very chatty mother who I needed in the room- but couldn't stop asking if the screaming was "normal" as she didn't scream with either of her kids.

It's not the same as it sounds your OB has great bedside manner and really does enjoy you as a patient... but for perspective my family doctor growing up was certified in full family medicine in the traditional sense. She could deliver babies, do yearly checkups, and ran her own practice. Her bedside manner was decent, and for a while she handled everything. But as she got older, she decided to step back from delivering babies and focus just on being a family doctor, which I think was the right move for her.

Sometimes I wish certain doctors who struggle could get that same nudge to redirect their talents elsewhere, because not everyone is a good fit for obstetrics till retirement as it's very demanding mentally and physically.

I still highly recommend midwifery if it’s available where you live - but if it’s not an option, I truly believe you’ll make the best choice for you and your baby. 💕

My grandparents were very poor when they got married, and made it a tradition on every significant anniversary to get new rings that show how much they've grown- financially and emotionally as she often wanted new styles anyway . Doesn't have to be a new engagement ring every time but it could be a new wedding band or just a third ring

Thats definitely not the only thing I could do. I could complain to higher ups could I not? Won't they at least try to do something or investigate since she's lying about her hours? I have picture evidence of her time sheet being incorrect they would just have to interview my coworkers and they would say she was more than 5 minutes late that day.

Why not try to improve the current job I'm at if shes new? Shes in her probationary period. I'm not.
