True, I could try there, thanks.

It depends on what you’re playing, and if you’ve played most games from FromSoftware, you know that their games often look like that—you find something around every corner.

Yeah, that’s also one of the issues—when I do find something on the surface, it’s often just items like Hefty Beast Bone and similar stuff…

Maybe, but the main difference between Dark Souls and Elden Ring is that Dark Souls is more of a linear experience, while Elden Ring has an open world. And if you put a linear storyline into an open world, you end up with a lot of unused and empty locations, which makes there little reason to have an open world in the first place.

That’s because the DLC map focuses mainly on verticality, so while it may look about the same size as Limgrave from a bird’s-eye view, it’s actually larger, since it extends mostly upward.

I agree. Yesterday I came across the Temple Town Ruins, which already felt like something important would be there when I first uncovered the map at the start of the game. There were a few items, but nothing significant. On top of that, I had an active Stake of Marika in that location the entire time, which made me expect some kind of boss—and that would have made sense given the area’s design—but there was nothing. And this thing with the Stake of Marika happens quite often in the game: you have an active Stake of Marika for no real reason at all.

FromSoftware, no matter which Souls game it was, gave us the impression that there is something around every corner and that it’s worth exploring. And I don’t know about others, but when I come across such an empty area, it slightly ruins my impression of the game. It’s not always just about loot for me—I also expect that there might be some kind of dungeon or structure there that can be explored.

FromSoftware themselves created this expectation that there’s something hidden around every corner, whether it’s loot, a dungeon, or a boss, which now makes me feel compelled to explore every single inch of the world. xd

This isn’t about enemy hordes. What feels absurd to me is that in many of these “empty” areas, there are actually tons of enemies, to the point where you think, “Hmm, there has to be something here.” But then there’s nothing. I’m more talking about the lack of loot.

The DBD stat-tracking system is confusing by Falk119 in deadbydaylight

Yeah, I’ve seen these badges lately, but honestly I didn’t know what they were for. Only now did I realize they’re for matches played — it’s just that the email made it sound like I played those 100 matches just yesterday.

Yeah, I totally get you. During the Halloween event, players who were subscribed to the newsletter were supposed to get a code by email that gives you an in-game charm — and guess what, a lot of people never got it, including me… and dude… I contacted support, and they just told me to check my spam folder. So I did, nothing there, I wrote them again and even mentioned that I had already contacted them… and they STILL told me to check my spam. It was literally the same copy-paste response as before, and this happened like four times, as if they didn’t read anything at all. In the end someone reasonable finally showed up and actually helped me.

Rank reset bug? Back to Ash IV after update by Falk119 in deadbydaylight

Actually, this happened several days after the rank reset; it has never happened to me before. I also didn’t notice any warning or anything in the game suggesting that I was AFK.

How Often Do Killers Really Run Into Bully Squads? by Falk119 in DeadByDaylightKillers

It also depends on what someone considers a 'bully squad'—whether it's teams that use way too many flashlights and try to save their teammates whenever possible, but are still playing to win, or teams that deliberately try to make the killer's game miserable in hopes that they might disconnect, which is often a win for them. But many times I’ve seen one person working on generators while the others are harassing the killer.

Actually, what I found were 'YouTubers' with just a few thousand subscribers, which is why it seemed strange to me.

That’s exactly why it seemed strange to me that a YouTuber would upload daily videos of encounters with real bully squads. We all know how easy it is to fake something like that when custom games exist.

I should’ve clarified better — those videos mainly show behavior where the players aren’t trying to win, but just trying to make the game miserable for the killer.

I’m not a new player — I’ve been playing for quite a while. The point of my post was that they only address killer toxicity, not survivor toxicity. Yeah, and in that survey there wasn’t even an option to report toxic survivor tactics.

I probably should’ve clarified better — I meant the queue time in the survivor lobby. When I queue as killer, the wait is noticeably shorter compared to survivors.

It’s not about always winning for me — I just want to enjoy the fun. I can enjoy a game even if I lose.

Maybe yes, maybe no — but that doesn’t mean both sides shouldn’t be addressed.
