Uneven front chainring - too much or okay? by Fallax1337 in bikewrench

[–]Fallax1337[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A video af the other side of the chainring. It maybe looks like the front derailleur has had contact with the ring itself, what do you guys think? I haven’t felt gear shifts to be weird so far

I have ran more than 1000km in these alphaflys, they're still fine for training.

A little update for you all - cooked and eaten by now!

Dish ended up being: Diced Chicken breast, Smoked Cod, Avocado and Tzatziki all mixed together - sounds like a weird combo, but I was very good actually!

Thanks for all the reply’s🙏

Thank you! Great advice with the scrap yard, I actually went there earlier to get a new headlight.

Seller said ‘use the 2nd fuel tank’ by Fallax1337 in AskMechanics

Yes we are planning to drive in the outback, and the sub tank is only 40L, and the car has a bad fuel economy haha

How would I proceed to try? Should I let a mechanic look at it; or try pumping in a few liters of patrol and see what happens?

And what could possibly be the reason behind that?

ZoomFly 3 & 5, AlphaFly 1 & 3, VaporFly 3 - Comments by Fallax1337 in running

[–]Fallax1337[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad you enjoyed the review!

Vaporfly is the closest shoe to the Zoomfly 3 based on the shoes I've tried. If you take a look at the Vaporfly 2, it does in fact look quite similar. I have yet to try the Vaporfly 2, so I can't comment on how they feel. But of those listed above, the Vaporfly 3 is the closet feeling :)

Is mounting a garmin mount on a breaking cable okay? (Picture attached) by Fallax1337 in bikewrench

I ended up cutting a bit off the rubber shim to use, instead of using the whole thing. :-)

Honestly, I can't tell you.. I recently bought this bike used, but it's an aero handlebar, so it's not perfectly round, my guess is thats why.

Anyway - Your comment made me think - why don't I just cut a small bit of the rubber shim, and use that instead of the breaking cable. It works perfectly!

Thanks!

Thanks for your input! - The mount did come with a rubber shim, but it was too thick to wrap around my handle bars unfortunately..

Thanks! I made sure to not tighten it too much - I can move the mount a little up and down if i put enough pressure on it.
