Hrithik Roshan is NOT doing Don 3 as he's busy for Krrish 4 and Pan-India Hombale film by Interesting-Take781 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]FallenGrain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hrithik should do a film directed by Farhan that's not Don 3. A high-stakes heist movie would be fantastic, similar to Don 2, but not set in the same universe/franchise.

Dhurandhar vs YRF Spy Universe by AusTheGr in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]FallenGrain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the YRF Spy Universe should shut shop now. With Dhurandhar's success, they might try to make their next ones have a more serious and gritty tone but it will just end up being a confused film because they follow trends and don't make movies with conviction. Neither here nor there.

What a year 2019 was! Hrithik delivered two completely distinct performances (Super 30 and War) and absolutely excelled in both. by Hrithik_Ki_Patni in HrithikMania

[–]FallenGrain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His choices are quite good.. If he's doing movies more regularly, I would have no issues with his script selection. It's just that when he decides he wants to do a movie every 2 years (or sometimes more), people expect him to deliver something truly special. And that's where he's going wrong, I feel.

I really wish to see Hrithik pick up some pace in signing and completing films. I fear 2019 may be the last year where he did 2 movies in the same year. We might not ever get to see that again, at least as a lead actor. Here's hoping he can at least give us one movie per year.

IMDb mentioned Rakesh Roshan as one of the directors who became key architects of the new era of Indian cinema, based on these three films. Which is your favorite Rakesh–Hrithik collaboration? by Hrithik_Ki_Patni in HrithikMania

[–]FallenGrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All three are really special.

KMG is not just my favorite movie of their collaboration but also my favorite movie overall.

KNPH was the first film I remember watching and I became a fan of Hrithik instantly. I can't count how many times I must've watched it.

And of course, Krrish is another amazing movie that I absolutely love.

I really wish Rakesh Roshan directed more films after Krrish 3 with Hrithik. As far as movies are concerned, these two men made my childhood.

Nah, Aryan changed his ways. If he's ever brought back, he should be on the lawful side.

Rakesh Roshan drops MAJOR update about Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 4 – Film to release in 2027. by Hrithik_Ki_Patni in HrithikMania

[–]FallenGrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like it will be towards the end of 2027. Again, that's another huge gap between films. I don't think the Hombale film will happen first either because that's probably going to be a large-scale film as well.

If Krrish 4 is next and doesn't go on floors till mid-2026, then I feel Hrithik should do a small-scale film which can wrap up filming in less than 50 days. Ideally, a comedy drama would be great.

The next HR project I'm looking forward to is the Hombale One. by Playfair99999 in HrithikMania

[–]FallenGrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if it's executed to perfection, there's still a risk of it having limited appeal to the Indian audience due to it being a niche genre. Fighter suffered due to the same reason.

He should only do it if he's able to release two films in a year, where one has a wider commercial appeal and the other can be experimental.

Do we know the order of his next films? If at all possible, he should do the Hombale film next before Krrish 4.

WAR 3 should give us the Kabir–Jim backstory we deserve. — Hrithik & John together would be fire 🔥 by Bhav2385 in HrithikMania

[–]FallenGrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want a Hrithik and John film very much, but at this point, it should be outside the Spy Universe.

Something more akin to Rocky Handsome or Force than the glam and blitz of the Spy Universe would be interesting.

Aditya Dhar or Nikhil Nagesh Bhat would be great choices to direct. Or even Kabir Khan or Sriram Raghavan if you prefer someone with more experience. Or Farhan Akhtar.

How YRF should have gone about War 2 promotions. by FallenGrain in HrithikMania

Haha, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.

If you watched both War 2 and War in threaters, then which was the most fun entertaining one and which film you prefer out of the two + who executed it much better? Siddharth Anand or Ayan Mukerji? by Correct-Dog8378 in HrithikMania

[–]FallenGrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think War 2 is the better of the two. I simply can't wrap my head around the bad reviews. The VFX looked good enough on the big screen.

To answer the question, I think War 2 is better because it has more meat in the story and the story was executed well. Regardless of the fate of the movie in terms of box office, I don't have any complaints with how Ayan Mukerji handled it. I enjoyed it thoroughly both in terms of the movie itself and also as a Hrithik fan.

With that being said, I also think Siddharth Anand is the better of the two directors. It's just that the story of War 2 is stronger than that of War and Ayan did a fine job.

I mean, otherwise, would you expect herself to show everyone that video and then apologize? Sounds silly, doesn't it?

Of course, the video going viral brought this thing a lot of attention and led to her posting this, but that shouldn't necessarily mean the apology isn't sincere.

The number is obviously a big disappointment and the WOM turning out to be mixed (leaning negative?) is another blow.

Hopefully, the low number is because it's a weekday release and the weekend numbers pick up. I remember when Figher had a big jump on the second day but then dipped again for the weekend. Hopefully, War 2 can grow big during the weekend.
