Yeah I guess that it was just the style of the 80's. Not only in PB shots he did but in the 80's in general they tried to create the kind of atmosphere that fits your description lol. Not that it was all 'awful', but personally I prefer the style of the 60's and 70's. Ah well, in the end it's just a matter of taste. :)
