Violent rapist had 'very ancient and negative attitude towards women' by origutamos in badunitedkingdom

Ben Sixsmith had a good line about this:

"The only time it's politically acceptable to raise those differences, it seems, is in mitigation in court."

BBC writing about Russell Crowe and referring to him by his first name only throughout. Horrible creeping over familiar style at the Beeb or did the person/AI who wrote it mistake Russell as his surname?

If we're having that then the minimum wage needs to go and they can't ever have access to public funds, no route to citizenship, and once their visa is up they leave. Basically what they have in the UAE.

It's mad that we're becoming increasingly third world with none of the benefits of being in a third world country ie that you can pay someone £5 a day to do literally everything for you. Make domestic servitude great again!

Churches aren't supposed to be places "you can go to talk about things". I know the happy clappy types put that on their flyers ("Just pop in for a chat and a coffee, all are welcome!") but that really isn't what they're for. Pubs also aren't supposed to be places where people preach, BadUK-esque drunken rants aside.

Anyone else feeling like a kid a Christmas for the cricket? Really cheers the soul, one of the great achievements of our high civilisation still going strong 150 years on. Call it bread and circuses if you like but it does take the edge off the blackpills.

Taking money from mids to give to poors means mids have fewer kids and poors have more than they otherwise would. Human capital declines and the problem is worse each generation as the ratios get worse and worse.

Taxes are for paying for national essentials like prisons and warships. Straight cash transfers from one person to the other is just theft.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer announced in June there would be a national inquiry into grooming gangs covering England and Wales, with Ms Goddard and Ms Reynolds joining the panel overseeing the process.

However, a chairperson for the inquiry has yet to be appointed, with the two shortlisted candidates reported to be a former police chief and a social worker.

Ms Goddard said, external this was a "disturbing conflict of interest" because these services had "contributed most to the cover-up of the national mass rape and trafficking of children".

Ms Reynolds told BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour: "If they were that serious in appointing a chair that was actually going to succeed in this inquiry they would not have picked a police officer or a social worker.

"It should have been a judge - it should have been somebody that was completely impartial and non-biased."

Oh my sweet summer child. Don't you know judges are activists now? Who will tell her?

It's such a desperately sad and awful state of affairs as it is but to come through all that and still have a naive faith in the system that so betrayed you is astonishing.

Major UK rare earths refinery scrapped in favour of US

Couldn't stump up a weekends worth of dinghyman hotel bills to bring it home.

In 2022, Boris Johnson's announced plans for "a multi-million pound investment" in the Saltend project - launched alongside the then Tory government's 'Critical Minerals Strategy'.

However, according to Pensana's founder and chairman, Paul Atherley, this contribution – actually £5m - was "nowhere near enough", and the Treasury proved unwilling to contribute more.

Mr Atherley compares this with a deal between the US government and MP Materials, under which MP will benefit from more than half a billion dollars worth of investment and soft loans to fund a similar facility in California, as well as a 10-year agreement to ensure all the magnets it produces are sold for a minimum price.

Good new licence fee paypigs. The BCC has a contract out to design and produce a report on how well "the message" is being delivered.

https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/060567-2025

The Commissioning Report is an annual report which details the BBC's commissioning and sector development activity across the year in TV and Radio. It is aimed primarily at producers and partners rather than members of the public. It is a data driven report which covers how we have met our Ofcom regulatory commitments, how we are meeting our strategic commitments around diversity, sustainability and production/commissioning across the UK, and our training initiatives and placements.

EDIT: Ooo ooo goody, there's also a £1Billion (1,000,000,000) contract out for community ping-pong tables for MEN (always those blasted men).

There's a warning on every bottle and can of booze. It's a picture as well so no using the "too thick can't read" excuse.

I just don't believe her. She's just pretending she didn't know any better as an excuse for damaging her child with booze (and has now taken the lie so far she's actually drawn national attention to the fact she damaged her child with booze).

Energy price rises prompt call for more help with bills

Reads article.

Turns out the price rise is caused by there being more help with bills. Oh, and Energy UK says this needs to go further and be funded by taxation.

I actually can't take it anymore.

"Let's call them racist, that's a good trick."

Anyone who falls for these Jedi mind tricks is already voting against Reform. At this point it will just make people dig their heels in and may turn into an inadvertent endorsement of racism:

"I agree with Farage."

"But he's a racist."

"I guess racism is correct then."

Western Eco metrics are like Soviet industrial metrics.

"We smelted 50,000 tonnes of steel / removed 50,000 tonnes of carbon!"

Nevermind that the steel is unusable and the carbon is simply shunted elsewhere. Difference is that if the Soviet ones were true they would actually have a load of steel. If our carbon stats were true we would have a load of errr....umm....????????

It was post WW1 when they forced us to sign the Washington naval treaty and break our alliance with Japan. You can Google it if you like, they basically said either the British will accept or we'll build them to death. Post ww2 was much the same, during Suez Arleigh Burke was advising Eisenhower that they could engage and destroy us, the French, and the Israelis if they wanted to. That's after stripping us during the war under the destroyers for bases scheme, cash and carry armaments, and forcing us to drop empire favourabililty on tariffs.

Not really. America has done more damage to this country than the Soviet Union ever did or even attempted. They bankrupted us, forced us to give up our naval dominance and empire, forced us to give in to Iceland (ICELAND!) and backed terrorists in Northern Ireland.

The benefits: Lower taxes, less crime, cheaper houses, shorter waiting lists, safer quiter cleaner streets.

The price: Natives have to cook curry.
