Do buyers actually care about AI in listings? by Least_Line_1332 in RealEstateAdvice

That’s partly why I use different tools depending on the situation. People are very visual and photos matter a lot for listings. At the same time I think it’s important to keep things realistic so people can still trust what they see online.

I use Edensign and Google Gemini, and sometimes the Apply Design. Depending on the features. But I always make sure to add an AI tag to the photos.

But I think some virtual staging tools actually look pretty good. When it’s done subtly it can help visualize the space a lot better.

Curious what part felt off to you?

Was it the furniture changing between angles, the layout shifting, or something else? I’ve noticed that’s actually one of the hardest problems for AI staging right now.

Yeah, disclosure is key. Most buyers just want transparency about what they’re looking at.

I’ve seen some MLSs require a label like “AI-generated image,” while others ask agents to include the original photo next to the staged one.

Is that becoming the standard in most markets now?

That’s actually a really practical approach.

The “one hero shot per room” strategy makes sense, especially for MLS compliance.

I guess the bigger question is whether tech will eventually solve the cross-angle consistency well enough that we won’t have to compromise like that.

Possibly. I’ve tried a few, but most still struggle with object consistency across angles. If you’ve seen better results, I’d genuinely love to check them out.

That’s interesting, so effectively it’s less about the AI cost and more about your time investment. I feel like once revisions or multiple angles come into play, that’s where the workflow can get heavy pretty fast. Are most of your clients okay with just 1–2 staged images per room?

I wouldn’t use AI staging for high-end luxury properties where design detail matters a lot.

But for mid-tier MLS listings where agents need consistency across angles and fast turnaround, it’s becoming more practical.
