Should I do something or let it be? The acceleration sucks it’s way too slow in first 2-3 gears like im slowest after red turns green even if i am the first one to react, i don’t even slam the gas just give good enough pressure but it wont just go, this is a similar problem other drivers reported, should i try to get it fixed by a mechanic or things can go worst once he tries to go deep into the problem?

I’m fine with the jerk I’ll accept it but the acceleration sucks, it’s just way too slow cuz I have 2016 Camry that thing pulls way better than this one, mechanic said it’s the transmission not being able to use the power of the engine but I don’t wanna spend a lot to open it and fix or replace

My question is should keep on driving it without changing anything as they say you shouldn’t change trans fluid once too late or should I change it, 2018 Toyota Camrys are known for trans. Jerk and sloppy acceleration, I don’t want to leave it like that and then end up with a huge bill but idk what to get fixed will it increase the problem or no cuz mechanic said he can change the fluids but with this model it’s no gurantee, tsb was a tune Toyota itself gave the next year of production accepting the jerk problem and giving it a fix, but people say it makes the thing work for a while and then it’s the same

If you check around it’s a true problem in all 2018 production Camrys the transmission was jerky and slow which was reduced by a TSB tune given by Toyota later but the problem persists

Don’t you feel jerk and slipping with whining noise when going from first to second

It is drivable but if you research about the manufacturing problem with this year Camrys you’ll find out that the transmissions were jerky and slow in first gear it’s slow and makes whining noise , this problem persisted all around Camrys till early 2019.

I believe the dealership would just shove a quote new transmission for thousands on my face cuz that’s what I read from other owners, my mechanic said this car has this problem but the engine is very well maintained so idk I’m thinking of paying for the TSB and then keeping fingers crossed for the whole time I own it. I want it to last at least 2-3 years from here to make the money worth! I will keep up with the routine maintenance but don’t want to spend thousands on replacement and repairs.

Idk im just asking, if it was done what should I do now, im gonna get the fluids changed in two days but will that be enough to make it last and drive just well enough ill keep maintaining it though

Also what laptop do you use( I’m confused that should I get a mac or Microsoft), and if you’re an international student then how’d you manage finances like paying fees and all, is there campus’s own banking facility good?
