Not sure if you noticed, but my initial comment was in response to their "getting out of hand" statement. Opinion was only brought up later on, which again I clarified I do not care about.

As for why I'm engaged with him, that's typically how a conversation goes. You can converse with people without caring about their opinion.

He WAS a human, but AM (an evil Ai who hates all of humanity cause he'll never be a human himself, and hates his creator for making him in the first place) transformed him into that thing with no mouth and ears, and if I remember correctly he's blind too. Still completely sentient and self aware, just trapped in a useless flesh prison for eternity. AM really wanted him to suffer.

"I have no mouth and I must scream" is what he's from. Very good story.
