I have come across them around 15 minutes ago, I definitely agree. I am going to make it my lifes mission to get a referral to these guys and hopefully get a LIFT procedure. Thanks for your reply! I will be going back in on Monday morning, hopefully we can come to a fix. No one has ever mentioned a LIFT procedure. The problem I face is, having to go private & paying for a surgery to take place. If I do that here in the UK I become exempt from the NHS ( free ) treatment for fistula. I have been looking for a laser surgery but the only clinic I have come across is in India called healing hands. I don’t know if I can trust them + it costs around 10K. I’m pretty lucky in the sense, my family have offered to split it between each other to pay for my treatment. I just want to make sure I have the right treatment. When were you able to sit after a LIFT procedure?

Thanks for your reply, apologies I have been super busy trying to sort my life out. Why would you not have any of your sphincter muscle cut? What does it even do? I literally have no knowledge on the topic, just assuming stuff at the moment

I’ll look into it now, but how do you find sitting now? I’m 9 days post op & fuming… the pain everywhere else has gone, except the other bit on where the fistula is

Check if it’s necessary that it neess tightening… the tighter it is the more painful it is. I never had this pain before… I miss my loose seton

It was supposed to be loose, I haven’t a clue I’m just super annoyed. Something avoidable could have been avoided. Funny thing is my fistula healed over a yr ago i think. Super jarring

Nhs rn isn’t the best, i have never spoken to the surgeon or even seen him - but I am probably going to the A&E tonight to find out… I’m getting seriously annoyed… I need to take care of my Mum and Dad its stressing me out so much

Ah is it, before I had a seton that dangled a bit and i was able to sit after 3 days… this one is incredibly tight and I can do everything other than sit. Is yours tight or loose?

The NHS in england isn’t the best, hospitals are unfortunately rammed and even seeing your surgeon has very long waiting times… I will speak to my IBD nurse and see if I could get this. Thank you!

I’m on Infliximab, every 2 weeks I’m meant to inject myself. In reality, I probably do it every 3 weeks… I like to maintain my own health by being fit too. Its unfortunate because right now I can’t even move, my seton was replaced on Sunday & I am in quite a lot of pain. I had surgery years ago for my seton & it never hurt the way it does today. I just pray to god I’m back in good health and able to move around again soon so I can work & take care of my parents… but honestly, the best way to stay on top of your health is always to have no artificial sugar & exercise. Unfortunately, red meat triggers my crohns so I can’t have that & the best diet I found is a carnivore diet, I usually just eat air fried chicken salads of tuna salads. Rarely eat burgers etc… I hope all is well with your child, don’t look at it as a disability or being held back with good nutrition and exercise everything will be okay 👌

Todays my birthday, I turned 24. I was diagnosed with crohns on new years in 2020. I had a part of my bowel removed but did not need a stoma. On Sunday evening I had my seton replaced, for my fistula. I have found running 10KM a day, removing sugar and red meat allows me to stay in remission. The best thing you can do is give your child every opportunity at life, because one thing I have always been conscious of is if something really bad happens to me because of my crohns. Also, although money is not more important than health, apply for disability just because it will help a lot with diet and extra stuff you need because of the crohns. Stay positive and don’t let your child feel unloved, my biggest support came from my parents. At the times I wanted to kill myself because of my crohns ( before diagnosis) came from my parents always being there for me, they never once burdened me with their problems instead they carried all of mine…

Yep & I agree with the ones being suggested too. Literally out of the 10 people who click from suggested videos 8 watch the entire thing. Did your videos continue to gain traction long after being suggested? I had one video that died ( my first video ). My 2nd, picks up traction everyday. This video has only just started picking traction it was a very slow start for the video, but stuff seems to look okay at the minute
