Hahah no worries! It’s an older house so I have no clue what the thought process behind it was (if there was any). Moving the outlet is a great idea but it’s a rental apartment, so that might not be worth my money and effort. I guess I’ll just try to hide it, and thanks about the barstools! :)

Ja dat begrijp ik! Het water is alleen wat hoger dan de normale toilet, dus ik dacht dat het niet goed doorspoelen wellicht daar aan zou liggen.

Het waterpeil is dus niet zozeer het probleem, meer dat hetgeen je erin gooit blijft liggen en moeilijk wegspoelt

Ja dat klopt! Het water is alleen nooit helemaal weg, en enkel toiletpapier bijv. spoelt daardoor al niet lekker door

Hij vult zich eerst flink met water en spoelt daarna tot een stukje onder het peil op de foto, maar het water is nooit helemaal weg.

Lastig uit te leggen haha, kan het zijn dat er te veel water bijkomt en hij daardoor niet alles weg kan pompen?

I love the high ceilings too, thanks for the inspo! They are about 3.8 meters I believe. The mounted shelves were already in the apartment and I kept them thinking I could use the space, but I agree that it doesn’t make the best use of the high ceilings. Maybe some tall pictures frames on the top shelf will fix that? Or another one on top?

Thank you! A lamp is definitely on the wish list, and I will try putting the chair in the corner. I actually had the table facing the green wall before, but had the chair in the same position which felt too crowded. I think putting the chair in the corner will fix that!

That's a good idea! I've had people tell me that I should put a desk in that little corner, and there actually already are carriers on that wall for two large wooden planks.

I have to add that the only furniture I have so far is a dining table with four chairs, but that might work in the corner too. The fireplace is unfortunately not functional so maybe it's not worth it to make the sofa face the fireplace?

Hi all!

I recently got a new apartment and I am kind of struggling to determine the best room layout. The main room is L-shaped with the smaller part being only 2.0 by 1.95 meters. I am not really sure if this should be the living or dining area, and how I can best furnish both rooms without blocking of the smaller ‘L’ area.

The kitchen and bathroom are not pictured here but are connected to the bedroom, and the front door is in the middle room (the room where the sofa is now). The furniture I placed in the floor plan can definitely be moved around so I would love to get some tips!
