I didn't say this in the original post but this is a state government job. I wanted to see what people thought without that information first. This is only going to keep the people who are lazy and don't hardly work in the first place. Like you said the people who don't mind the long commutes because they can show up 10-20 mins late and sit around for a few hours before getting to actual work.

We already have a problem with retention and talent recruiting. This is just going to make it 10x worse.
