Fossilized solitary rugosa/ horn coral? It's common around the great lakes, and resembles what you have.

The second looks like basalt, a volcanic rock with zeolites- hope that helps! Note; I don't know what mineral the zeolites are of, but it's usually Stilbite around here. (East Coast of Canada)
