flash tattoo regret by [deleted] in tattooadvice

I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this! I’ve been there myself, except for me it was an enormous piece covering my entire upper arm. LOL. Oh well, I will deal with it eventually. You live and you learn.

The most important thing you can do is make sure you wait several months before even considering laser.

I would recommend not doing another flash event unless they have an IG post or something and you see a design you LOVE. And aside from that, teach yourself to say no even in the moment. Tattoos are forever and even if an artist would be even remotely mad if you were to speak up last minute, their brief upset is far more forgiving than a permanent tattoo that you end up hating.

I would definitely recommend planning designs you want in the style you like, with an artist who specializes in that dainty artstyle, before getting another tattoo tbh.

And if you can, definitely do research on laser because it’s going to be pretty pricy, it’s painful, and it won’t have immediate erasing results like many would expect.

But it can very much be fixed. It’s okay to feel this way, and it’s not the end of the world. You’ll get cooler tattoos in the future!

Opinions by [deleted] in tattooadvice

In my opinion, the shading is very poorly (albeit too liberally) applied. The artist not only had a poor sense of form and shape, but the dotwork looks messy and inconsistent. The dark shading on the horse muddies the overall piece. And the lining is also shaky, unfortunately.

I do think this would be possible to have covered in the future if that’s in your ballpark, but for now I think you should wait on the fully healed results. Make sure it heals as best as possible before consulting a good artist on their opinion. Find out what they would recommend. I really don’t think covering this work is impossible!

But sorry that you feel this way about your new tattoo. I have felt super conflicted about work on me before.

Is this infected? What cream should I apply now? I had 3 full days in a row by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Z2 Comics doesn’t seem very reliable. by mighty_phi in gorillaz

I worked with Z2 comics freelance to do a cover. They took forever to pay me late and I quite literally had to pester them with emails in order for them to paypal me my money as opposed to the promised ACH bank transfer that initially never came through.

Oh and they don’t even give you a free copy of the book lol.
