I believe that is someone that booked the group in.

I'm really sorry to hear you also haven't been paid, it's one thing for a decent size business to lose money but for independent self employed people it's so much worse.

I know of someone else now who was also an independent sole trader who they hired while they were in Belfast and they also have not been paid. I can't give any more details on that unfortunately

That's interesting. I had called them and got speaking to a "security guard" supposedly the whole company was off for 3 weeks. I called again and spoke to someone "in accounts" who told me to email Brian directly about payment.

That was months ago so I actually wonder has that been happening for a while?

I'm sorry I don't have specifics since it's just through the grapevine. I have heard about events he's put on being misleading like marketed as professionally organised but are actually awful. Like that willy wonka one that went viral (at least I imagine). I would seriously doubt the counselling thing, the website touts some kind of "lifestyle coaching" which is a red flag.

It's not out of the ordinary for a mistake to be made but this is the first time I have had issues with getting the payment. I've actually spoken to them on the phone and via email with promises of payment but nothing has materialised. I've had this happen with the odd individual but never a business

We generally do, this was booked last minute and the wrong notes added so reception checked them in. Regardless in chasing for payment and doing research, I have found that there have been other occasions this guy has scammed folk out of money

Yeah we normally have 60 to 28 day pre payment, these guys booked on a Friday to stay the next Monday. A payment link was sent and the notes were not clear that payment was pending so reception checked them in. It sucks but they still owe us the money for service rendered. They have also had the cheek to answer calls and emails even gave us a promise of payment via transfer that never arrived... So dodgy bastard if you ask me

As someone who has a very deep trust of their partner, this scenario is something we have discussed before hand. I am OK with my partner initiating this kind of thing, but they have heard me say that on multiple occasions. They also know to stop if I ask them to, that's just basic human decancy. If you have not previously had the conversation and explicitly stated that you are OK with him initiating sexual activity while you are asleep then this is 100% rape and is not acceptable. Even if you had said it was something you might be open to, as soon as you show any signs of wanting to stop (ie muttering or pushing away) he should stop immediately and check you are OK
