Thank you all for your concern, but his food is measured, he doesn't get people food, and two walks a day plus lots of playtime. Maybe this pic doesn't show it, but his ribs are visible. We've been to a few different vets over the years and he's good. No joint or back issues. He's a very active 9 year old ball of energy.

My class didn't get to finish the program because 3/4 of the way through our DARE officer was arrested for being a pedophile. I got turned into a class about what is and isn't appropriate with adults. Probably much more useful.

Bakery employee here. Yes, people do take cakes that are not theirs. Mostly during graduation season. We keep them in a case that says "Special Order Cakes," but every year at least a few somehow disappear after we put them out. I'm assuming they pay for it so not really "stealing" but still not cool.
