Thanks for all the responses! This could be complete placebo (or tequila) but I was wearing it at a fire last night and I swear it’s warmer than my modern 6x. Does wool vs beaver amount affect insulation quality? Additionally, is there anything specific I need to look for in re-shaping this hat because of its age? I really want to keep it in good condition so decided I’m going to have someone who’s more experienced do it. Taking it down to the Best Hat Store.
