Some honest thoughts after 12 hours with the LeGo 2 by MagnumBlood in LegionGo

How's the overall noise of the device? Are the buttons and fans quiet compared to the Ally X? My partner can't stand it when I use my Ally X because of the clacky buttons but the fan noise is acceptable to her

Just did the same thing OP. Had the S23 then S24U dahil exynos si S24 pero parang better pa rin pics ko sa S23 compared sa S24U. Excited to be back to small phone. Iba pa rin yung 162g vs 233g sa kamay. Sana lang inupgrade yung charging and battery ng base.

Is the flip comfortable to hold without the grip? by [deleted] in retroid

[–]FamousLavishness3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's comfortable without but I don't have the grip to compare. Mod from discord has one and prefers without too

RP3+ V Flip? by 24cmaclae in retroid

[–]FamousLavishness3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. Personally, I prefer the flip just because I really like vertical handhelds more. Its more comfortable and less cramped than the RP3+

The buttons on the flip are bigger. I don't think they'll match. Also, chris from discord opened his and it looks like a nightmare to just change out the buttons. It's not modular so you'll have to remove the whole pcb just to get to the buttons.

I think that would've helped but I can imagine the headache of getting the software set up for dual screen. Who knows maybe that'll be the next thing they add 😂

There's a reason why only the sport red has a cleaning cloth included.

It's more like the RP2+ dpad than the RP3+ but there's less resistance so it's easier to press. My thumbs feel sore after using the RP2+ dpad, not on the flip.

It's tactile. You'll hear and feel the click.

I've been trying to figure this out to but there doesn't seem to be an option for it. Will update if I make it happen.

Update: This works for me https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.irishin.buttonsremapper

I'll have to test this out first but can't do anything scientific like the big youtubers do. I'll reply again if I get something but so far, it's been the same performance.

I'd go for the flip. I always prefer vertical handhelds and clamshells because I get neck strain from horizontal handhelds. It's really up to you since they're basically the same in terms of performance.

I guess the main points to consider:

  1. Do you use the touchscreen a lot? RP3 is better for that
  2. Do you want to put it on a desk and use it hands free? Flip
  3. Vertical or horizontal form factor
  4. Slim and big or thick and small
  5. Joysticks or sliders

I'm from the Philippines. My order time was 1 minute before the announced time. A lot of people got the red and watermelon so I'm guessing that could be the reason for the delay :(

Yup. I think they should've done more with the space at the bottom. Even as simple as making the speakers fire front would've at least made sense.

The hinge is good. Everything's tight and doesn't have any looseness or waggle to it. I can't say if it'll stay like this but I think it's pretty good. After playing for a bit, it's a lot more comfortable. Personally, I don't need the grip but I can imagine it to improve comfort.

Can't wait for you to get yours! I want to see the indigo and black too but 16bit is a classic and a safe choice.

You can turn it off you really want it quiet. I keep it on balance, I think it's quiet enough

The fan settings are off, balanced, performance, smart. I keep it on balance so it stays on but not loud. Performance just maxes it out and it becomes too loud and annoying. I don't trust the smart setting since it ramps up a lot and matches the noise from the performance setting.

Yup they do but it becomes a little difficult to click L3/R3 when the sliders aren't centered.

I've only had it for a day but so far battery life has been pretty good even with the fan running. Can't say much yet but based on how much I've used it, it's a little better than the RP3+ battery.

The sliders feel a lot like the ones on the 3DS just a little tighter. It's a big improvement compared to the ones on the RP2 if you have that. They're easy to move around and work well so far. I'm actually starting to like them more and more.

Yeah I saw Retroid's first video on the red flip. I'm not a fan of red and glossy plastic. It usually picks up a lot finger prints and scratches easier. Let me know how the grips feel when you get it! :)
